Announcement: Tschetter’s Puppy Academy Retirement
After much reflection, Jared and I have made the decision to officially retire from dog training/boarding - doing anything with dogs as of September 1. Training, loving/caring, and shaping canines has been an incredible journey, but it has also been challenging for my shepherds and my family to manage having dogs in and out of our home.
While I will miss working directly with dogs, I am excited to embrace new adventures, including my role as a professor at WPU, advocating for mental health, completing my doctoral degree, participating on various committees, and even competing in pageants.
I founded Tschetter’s Puppy Academy in 2016 after returning from deployment, during a period of uncertainty and struggle with PTSD. This work helped me find purpose, healing, and motivation. Through this journey, I have been blessed to become Sheba and Braam dog mom, and to create long-lasting, meaningful friendships, partnerships, and networking opportunities. I am deeply grateful to the Pella community and surrounding areas for the support they provided since 2016.
I am also proud to have mentored several aspiring dog trainers who have gone on to thrive and accomplish amazing things in their own careers. I know that they will take care of this community and their needs.
If you have questions, please feel free to reach out. September 1 will be my official last day, and the Tschetter’s Puppy Academy page will be removed on September 2. I invite you to follow me on my personal page and advocacy pages to stay connected.
Thank you all for your support, encouragement, and for being part of this incredible journey.
