⚠️ We need to talk about “white” regals ⚠️
Everyone wants one. Nobody wants to hear this part.
True white Regals are RARE. Not “hard to find.” Not “kinda uncommon.” Actually rare. Im talking bright white- no other hints of color and minimal black.
The only reason you’re seeing them pop up more lately?
Selective breeding, big-money purchases, serious photo editing or straight-up luck.
Even from a super light mom, you might get ONE… maybe a few… sometimes NONE worth holding back. And here’s the kicker 👇
“White” genetics are wildly unstable. That pale look? It’s actually a mix of all color expression, which is why it’s the hardest thing to lock in.
So let’s be real for a second—
If someone is selling a very white-looking regal for cheap… it’s either wild caught or the photo is doing some real (or not so real) "heavy lifting".
Most breeders keep their lightest ones. Period.
If they do sell one at maturity? It’s going to be priced like what it actually is—uncommon.
Now here’s where expectations matter:
If your version of “white” includes a white face and maybe also some creams, black accents, soft greys, lighter tones...you’re fine. Those are achievable. That is actually all part of the "white line" spectrum.
But chasing that pure white Regal unicorn?
For most people, that’s not a realistic goal.
Let’s educate, not hype. 🕷️
If youre hell-bent on a white spider- a female Fartilis is ALWAYS going to be your best option 👏
