These babies are so much fun 🩷

They grow up so fast. They will be three weeks old this Wednesday. Week 3 to 5 happens to be my favorite, I love watching their individual personalities (rabbitalities?) develop and seeing them become brave and curious about the world.

Handsome boy Rupert 🤍 he loves digging in fresh powdery snow! I could only tolerate it for so long but he was not ready to come back inside.

In all my years of producing rabbits (18 years!), Millie takes the cake for most obsessive nester. She began nesting behaviors 2 days after being bred, which is definitely a record for me.

Hopefully this means this first time mama will take her job super serious 🫡

The sun was out, so in spite of the ice on the ground it was as good of an opportunity as any to bring the bunnies out for some vitamin D and playtime 🌞

Enrichment is so important to me and my rabbitry. I never want my rabbits to spend a majority of the time in cages. Time to free roam, play with new toys, and experience new things in a positive way makes for a happier, healthier rabbit. It also makes for calmer, well adjusted babies- epigenetics are powerful. The more positive and novelty experiences an animal has, the better. Rupert agrees!

Millefleur is a natural poser, she’s looking so good at the 5 month mark! I can only imagine how she will improve as she grows into herself.

Ornery boy Rupert lives free range and is starting to become one of the cats. I found him this morning somehow on the third shelf of a bakers rack, working his way into the hay box 🌾 He’s lucky he’s so darn precious.
