New Classes are Starting again!

Basic Obedience Classes 🐶

WHERE: Park Rapids Airport Community Room (upstairs, not handicapped accessible)

TIME: Starts at 6:00 p.m. (if class fills up, I will offer a 7:00 pm class)

Dogs and people of all ages are welcome (maximum of 2 people per dog) wanting to learn basic obedience such as "Sit"
, "Stay", "Off"
"Down", "Leave it", "Walking gently on a
leash"
"Come when called" and so much more!

All behaviors learned with a positive fun upbeat
reinforcement.

REQUIREMENTS: Current on vaccines, food motivated and non-aggressive dog.

WHEN: Six sessions (approximately 45 minutes each)

Aw!!! I love him even more!

For his 88th birthday, Morgan Freeman chose compassion over luxury. Instead of a lavish celebration, the legendary actor donated $11 million to build a sanctuary for stray and abandoned dogs — a safe haven where neglected animals can finally experience love and care. 🐾❤️
This sanctuary will be more than just a shelter. It will provide food, medical treatment, and a peaceful environment for dogs to heal, offering second chances through adoption or, at the very least, a life of dignity free from fear.
Freeman’s gesture reminds us that true legacy isn’t found in awards or fame, but in the kindness we extend to the most vulnerable. 🌟

This week, I brought home a very special soul.
Meet Tank. He’s about 11 years old, a gentle giant with graying fur and eyes that have seen far too much. When I first met him, he was skin and bones—I could feel every rib. His breath came in heavy, labored puffs, and he moved slowly, like the weight of his past was still pressing down on him.

I learned he had been surrendered after living in a car with his previous owner. His “meals” were whatever scraps they could find—sometimes canned ravioli, sometimes ketchup packets. He was dirty, weak, and clearly had been through more than any dog should. 💔

But here’s the thing about Tank: despite everything, his spirit wasn’t broken.

Now, he’s clean. His belly is full. He’s starting heartworm treatment, and at night he curls up with me and my other dogs, finally knowing what it feels like to sleep in comfort. He still whimpers sometimes—maybe from old memories, maybe from dreams—but in between, there are tail wags, soft sighs, and even glimpses of joy.

Tank is proof that even the oldest, most overlooked dogs still have so much love left to give. His past was rough, but his future will be nothing but kindness, comfort, and care. 🥹🙏
