Adult Undersaddle- Alex Wilson

Alex, 30, is a Kentucky-based horse trainer whose passion for horsemanship extends far beyond the arena. Working with horses daily, Alex focuses on developing confident, willing partners through a foundation built on trust, communication, consistency, and patience.

A firm believer in treating every horse as an individual, Alex emphasizes softness, responsiveness, and creating horses that are both mentally and physically prepared for success. In 2023, Alex earned the title of Dakota Showdown Trainer Challenge Champion, a testament to that dedication and skill. Outside of training, Alex serves on the Board of Directors for BGYRA and is proud to be sponsored by ResolveT by Hagyard. Inspired by mentors such as Phil Haugen, Alex strives to become just a little better with every ride.

🐴 Meet the 2026 Bluegrass Mustang Makeover Adult Undersaddle Trainers! 🐴

We're excited to officially introduce the trainers who will be competing in the Adult Undersaddle Division at the 2026 Bluegrass Mustang Makeover!
These competitors represent six states and will soon be selecting their mustangs and beginning the journey toward the makeover.

Over the next several months they'll build partnerships, overcome challenges, and showcase just how much can be accomplished through patience, consistency, and good horsemanship.
