Most trails in Nevada and the Sierra were originally laid out by horseback! πŸ‡ Sadly, equestrian use has declined within land management agencies, and that means fewer people considering equestrian access or issues in the backcountry. Horseback riders have long explored national forests by trail.

National forests and grasslands offer miles of riding opportunities for all experience levels.

If you’re saddling up this season, stay on designated trails, respect wildlife and help keep these routes in good shape for everyone who follows.

There is still room for Expedition Gold Butte in October! We'll spend our days riding the magical landscapes of Gold Butte National Monument and Grand Canyon Parashant National Monument. And when we're done, we'll enjoy fabulous food, cocktails, and fun from our basecamp, a hidden private ranch. Bring your horse or use one of ours!
