The Chaves Tiny Paws family has grown by two—at least for a little while. 🥰

This beautiful mama is Harper, and she and her precious little baby are my newest fosters. Mama is settling in, getting lots of love, good food, and a safe place to care for her little one.

There is something so special about watching a mama cat finally realize she and her baby are safe. 🥹 Harper is such a sweet girl, and that tiny face has already completely stolen my heart.

🐾 Meet the Newest Little Crew! 🧡🖤🤍

Three tiny kittens joined us this week after being found as strays. Everyone, say hello to Turbo, Ninja, and Nitro! 🥰

Right now they’re settling into quarantine where they can safely watch all the excitement around them. They’re busy taking in new sights, sounds, and smells, but they won’t be interacting with the other foster pets just yet. This quiet time is important while they receive their deworming, vaccinations, and a clean bill of health.

It’s always amazing to watch scared, curious little babies slowly realize they’re finally safe. ❤️

Please keep these three in your thoughts as they begin their journey. With a little love, good food, and patience, they’ll soon be ready to find their forever families.

Kitten season is here, and we know you mean well — but please don't kitnap! 🙀 If you spot kittens outside, use this guide before intervening. Mom is probably nearby and those babies need her more than they need us. 💛

If the kittens appear injured, sick, or in danger, call Flagler Animal Services at (386) 246-8612 (if found within the City of Palm Coast, please call Palm Coast Animal Control at (386) 986-2520). Otherwise, look for mom or a nest before doing anything — and if you can't find her, wait at least 6 hours. She's probably closer than you think!

🚨 Speaking of fosters — we are in urgent need of kitten fosters right now! If you have a warm space and a big heart, we would love to have you on our foster team. Call us at (386) 445-1814, stop by at 1 Shelter Dr, Palm Coast, or visit flaglerhumanesociety.org/foster/ to learn more and fill out our online foster application.

We're also accepting donations of KMR (kitten milk replacer) and wet kitten food — these supplies make a huge difference for our tiniest residents. 🐾

Yesterday was a bittersweet foster day. 🥹🐾

We dropped off Chezee and Jolene so they can begin the next part of their journey—finding the loving forever homes they deserve. Watching them grow, play, feel safe, and come out of their shells has been such a special experience.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but this is what fostering is all about: loving them deeply, preparing them for their future, and then making room to save the next little lives that need us. ❤️

Go shine, sweet babies. Your forever families are out there waiting for you! 🏡🐱

I told them, “Leave the fake plant alone.”
They heard, “Welcome to your new indoor jungle gym.”

Nobody listens. Nobody is sorry. And apparently, everything in this house belongs to the cats. 😹
