We would like everyone to meet Lori! You may recognize her from up front at the receptionist desk but these days she is the friendly voice behind the phone. Lori wears many hats in our practice and she is an imperative supportive staff person in our hospital. Read on to learn more about Lori's path to FAH and her many talents!
Lori Good, Administrative Assistant
Lori moved from Pine, Colorado to Palm Coast, Florida in 2000 with her husband Warren and their beloved yellow Lab named Frisco. Before joining our staff, she worked in banking and property management. During Lori's childhood there were always at least two dogs as part of her family. Lori knew that one day she would follow her passion for working with animals. She started working at Flagler Animal Hospital in May 2013 and quickly became a big asset to our team. Lori has always been an animal lover and also loves working with people. Her warm and friendly personality made her a natural for the client service role.
In 2016 Lori decided to take on the challenging job of Administrative Assistant. She is a huge help to Kelly (our Hospital Manager), the doctors and all staff. She does call backs to owners and checks on their pets. She is also in charge of all client correspondence, including welcome cards and thank you cards. She ensures that patient reminders for exams, vaccines and tests are correct, answers questions from clients, schedules follow-up appointments, faxes patient records, and does follow up for the doctors. Lori also helps to coordinate hospital repairs by working with contractors and repair people. She organizes hospital activities, including our annual holiday party and food for staff meetings. In addition, she answers behavior questions for clients, assists Dr. Mendez with behavioral consultations, takes care of our banking and fills in as a client service representative.
Lori also has a strong interest in animal behavior and nutrition. She began working as an assistant to Dr. Ericka Mendez in her private dog training business in 2008. She has since become a Certified Dog Trainer. Today, she and Dr. Mendez have their own dog training business called Flagler Canine Solutions. They teach puppy classes here at the hospital. Lori also does private lessons and especially enjoys helping difficult German Shepherds.
Lori has a special place in her heart for rescued animals. She is a volunteer for Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue. She also helps with transport as needed. Lori and her husband love spending time with their two beautiful rescued White Shepherds, Shaylee and Meeka. In her spare time, Lori enjoys going to the beach and taking care of her backyard squirrels and birds.
