Beans recovered from surgery great and is back home this evening starting his road to recovery. He is definitely brighter already than he has been the last two days. A couple weeks of recovery and hopefully he’ll be back to doing what he loves, finding deer this deer season! All the thought and prayers are appreciated! Thanks everyone who has checked up on him.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Beans will not be available for tracks for the next couple of weeks. I will post more as he recovers.

I do have two pups that are still in training and showing lots of promise. They’ve been going with Beans on tracks and are available if needed while Beans heals.

Opening weekend we took a call from a hunter who shot a big buck. There was blood, but there wasn’t much. We took beans out and put him on the track, & off he went. However, his trail didn’t last long before he was telling me the deer wasn’t dead. We informed the hunters the deer would be back and let us know when he is. Sure enough here he is! They’re now waiting for rifle season to secure this big guy!!

The two pups were exposed to a real blood track this weekend and ate it up (literally). Rune has been doing wonderful with her training, Tallie is bored of the mocks and wanted a real deal. She really glued her nose to the ground with the exposure to a real track. Really pleased with how they’re coming along. We hope to get Tallie on a few tracks this season with Beans and we’ll probably let Rune do a couple home tracks towards the end of season!
