Meet the Team: The Ridgeback Rookie
Last but not least, meet the young Ridgeback stepping into a job written in her bones. This is Tallie!
She’s still a pup, sure — legs too long, attitude too big, and a stubborn streak a mile wide — but that’s the Ridgeback way.
She moves quiet, thinks fast, and hits the trail with that trademark Ridgeback grit — head low, ridge up, eyes locked on the work.
She’s learning the craft one blood drop, one misstep, one victory at a time.
She’s not finished yet, and you may see her running with Beans for now!
But with a Ridgeback heart beating in her chest, she’s well on her way.

Introducing the smallest force of nature on our crew — Rune! Rune is 6 months old Bavarian Mountain Scenthound pup. Don’t let the floppy ears fool you. Under that velvet coat is grit, drive, and a future legend in the making.

Born to track. Bred to work.
This little hunter is already showing off her confidence in the woods.Slow now, steady always, and soon unstoppable.

Give her a season and some miles, and she’ll be the one you call when the track gets tough.

Despite two major surgeries in just three years slowing down 2 of his tracking seasons, Beans still shows the kind of drive you can’t buy. When he’s healthy and on the trail, he works like he’s got something to prove… because he does.
This dog’s comeback story is still being written—and we’re proud he’s part of our team. ❤️

Lemme just brag on this girl right here! She has been the most hard headed pup I’ve ever trained. She is all about going on real tracks, but she is terrible for mock tracks. She’s been tailing Beans this year and finally got to get on a deer this week. This dog lit up and was all about it. I love watching them figure it out. I won’t lie I was worried she wouldn’t take to it, but she’s hooked now!

I love getting to watch these pups figure it out. Tallie has been going with Beans to get exposure, confidence, and train. Tallie has been my hardest pup to train as mock trails just bore her, but get her on a real track & she is all about it. Seeing her face light up when they’re getting their collars on and amping them up to go “find it” is priceless.

Beans is 7 days post op and says recovery is for the birds. He’s doing great and ready to get back to the woods!

Beans recovered from surgery great and is back home this evening starting his road to recovery. He is definitely brighter already than he has been the last two days. A couple weeks of recovery and hopefully he’ll be back to doing what he loves, finding deer this deer season! All the thought and prayers are appreciated! Thanks everyone who has checked up on him.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Beans will not be available for tracks for the next couple of weeks. I will post more as he recovers.

I do have two pups that are still in training and showing lots of promise. They’ve been going with Beans on tracks and are available if needed while Beans heals.
