We are THRILLED to announce that not only was our lovely Zorriola M2S approved with the Holsteiner verband, but she has been awarded District premium (BP)!!!

From the Holsteiner Verband website:

District premium (BP)
This designation is given to mares which embody good quality at breeding district mare inspections by fulfilling the following requirements:
- Both parents are registered in the Verband studbooks (sire: HB I, Holstein Global, dam: SB I (H, S), Holstein Global.
- The overall marks must total 47 points, with the mark for type at least 7 according to the scale of grades (B6.2) and none of the sub-criteria graded 3 or less according to the scale of grades (B6.2). The height at withers must be 160 cm at least.
- The premium designation is recorded on the mare’s zootechnical certificate (pedigree certificate I or II) and the abbreviation (BP) is carried after the mare’s name.

We are overjoyed to have this mare in our herd, and indeed her foals have been nothing short of exceptional. We are hoping to breed her this fall as our summer was unusually warm and humid due to all the rain.

Plus she is a genetic treasure, a direct Ekstein daughter out of Holst Stamm 8763 damline. Her dam competed to 1.60m and Zorriola herself competed up to 1.40m.

Great news for our mare "Jellybean" aka Jannellie! She has been officially inspected and approved in the main mare book with the Holsteiner Verband! This of course comes at no surprise to us as we think she is pretty special, but helps solidify our choices in mares and helps us make better breeding decisions going forward! We are proud to have Jelly belly in our broodmare band and look forward to her 2026 foal! What a fun surprise it will be! Her 2025 c**t was also registered Holsteiner and is off to an eventing home! We expect great things from him and cannot wait to see them develop!

Horses are ROUGH on stuff lol it’s like having a 1,000 lb toddler sometimes!
