Rockin Reegan Horse Training

Rockin Reegan Horse Training English and Western are just lables. At Rockin Reegan Horse Training I believe a good relationship between a horse and rider starts from the ground up.

A mutual respect is created by doing solid groundwork that consists of a combination of sensitizing and desensitizing exercises. Once I begin riding a horse I build on the softness and responsiveness I started on the ground. I strive to help an owner understand how, when, and why I utilize different exercises with their horse to build a healthy working relationship between them. I grew up with a m

other who did 3 day eventing and a lifelong cowboy father. This gave me a background with fundamental knowledge of several different English and Western disciplines. Watching my parents combine their knowledge to train horses taught me there is no one single way to get a job done and to approach every horse like the individual they are. This has lead to a passion to continue learning and bettering my skills as a horsewoman.

Lived in FULL cowgirl denial for 3 weeks like, ‘It’s just a sprain, I'm fine 🙃’
The X-ray said proved me wrong!
The pain that came AFTER the diagnosis hurt worse than the initial fall!
Part 2: the surgery that humbled me REAL quick 😬

Solomon is incredibly willing and responsive, but he hasn’t learned how to release all that tension yet.
.
The goal is for him to see groundwork as relaxation— not something to be anxious about or brace against.
We’re working toward softness, not stress.”

Moved barns with a broken wrist. 🦴Got bucked off with a cast then it rained in vegas for a week. 🌧
I survived the last month on caffeine and sheer stubbornness… but my patience?
She’s about to snap like a cotton lead rope left in the Nevada sun. ☀️

Huge update 🛻🐴 When I first started working with her, pressure meant panic.
She has learned to slow down, think it through and find her confidence alongside her new rider.
That kind of growth makes all the hours in the saddle worth it.

I didn’t “need” another horse… but God knew I needed something to smile about and bring me peace again. 🤎🐴

1st Arena Ride
She tested out her 'scoot mode' a
couple times but skipped the rodeo
moves.
She wasn't spooky - just gave me
some good notes for homework.
It gave me confidence we were
headed the right direction

Getting used to the saddle pad wasn't
easy--lots of movement, lots of
reactivity. But by the end, he started
realizing he didn't have to freeze or flee..
just think it through.
