The world’s oldest dog ever, Bobi, has died after reaching the almost inconceivable age of 31 years and 165 days, on Monday. Bobi was a purebred Rafeiro (livestock guardian breed) who lived his entire life in a small Portuguese . Typically they only live to be 12-14 yoa. RIP Bobi!!

Inside your dog's nose, there are about 300 million smell receptors, compared to our measly 6 million. The dog's brain area that detects smell is 40 times bigger than their human owners. Also your dog's nose separates air into air for breathing and air for sniffing via that small fold that you can see on the inside of each nostril.

The worlds smallest dog title goes to a little Chihuahua named Pearl. She stands at just 3.59 inches tall and weighs only 1.22 pounds.
The largest dog title belonged to an English Mastiff named Aicama Zorba who weighed an astounding 343 pounds and measured 8 feet, 3 inches from his nose to his tail.

Did you know that there are anywhere from 197-354 different breeds of dogs in the world? It all depends on which Kennel Club that you ask. Registered Dog Breeds in the AKC: 197; Registered Dog Breeds in the CKC: 187 and Registered Dog Breeds in the FCI: 354.
That makes it a tough decision when someone asks you what type of dog you want!!
