This is the universal truth of horse ownership:
No matter what happens… somehow, it’s the farrier’s fault. 😂🔨

Horse trips? Farrier’s fault.
Lost a shoe? Farrier’s fault.
Won’t pick up a foot? Farrier’s fault.
Got a stone bruise? Obviously the farrier.
Soft tissue injury? Definitely the farrier.
Mercury in retrograde? Probably still the farrier.

We may not be meteorologists or magicians — but apparently, we’re responsible for everything from your horse’s attitude to the tides of the moon. 🌕🐎

So next time something goes wrong, just remember — blame the farrier, it’s tradition! 😉

“The farrier crippled that horse.”

Over the past few months, Will Clinging, CJF, AJFC, has heard this from at least two people complaining on behalf of a friend whose horse had gone lame. The farrier was implicated in both cases, and Will was asked to consult on one of them.

When you call looking for someone “today” or “tomorrow,” remember that the ones who plan ahead, communicate, and keep a full schedule are usually the same ones who do the job right.
Quality work takes time and good farriers are in high demand. 🐴💪

Rehabilitation isn’t just about fixing what’s already broken, it’s about supporting what grows next.

Healthy hoof growth is a reflection of proper nutrition, blood flow, balance, and consistent care. Without growth, there’s no foundation for healing, just a cycle of managing the same problems over and over.

Every trim, every shoe, every feed choice is part of that process.

✨ An Experience Like No Other ✨

This was our first time attending the ELPO Conference, and after being in the industry for over 30 years, we can honestly say, it was an experience like no other. We were introduced to ELPO just this past year by a dear friend and fellow farrier, and we’re so grateful we took the opportunity to be part of it.

The passion, camaraderie, knowledge, and commitment to grow, share, and elevate the equine industry can hardly be put into words. It felt like one big family, where every horse is at the center of importance.

The conversations and networking weren’t just talk; they were bridges that will allow more horses to be helped. The person in the conversation may never personally touch each horse, but their insight, suggestions, and shared passion will still shape that horse’s outcome. That’s the kind of ripple effect that makes this industry so special.

When you’re surrounded by an entire group of like-minded professionals, it stirs something deep within you. Every speaker who took the stage brought an energy that filled the room, raw passion, emotion, and a genuine desire to share what they’ve learned. You couldn’t help but be drawn in, knowing every word carried weight and purpose.

We’re not saying this to discount other associations, far from it. We’re saying it because it reaffirmed something we’ve always believed: our industry is full of people who truly want to see it thrive.

The connections made, the inspiration felt, and the drive to push forward have left us charged for what’s next.
There are big things on the horizon for the equine industry and we can’t wait to be a part of it. 💪🐴🔥
