🚨 Distemper Outbreak Alert 🚨
We’ve been hearing reports of a canine distemper outbreak in the area. Please take extra precautions to keep your pets safe:

✔️ Keep your dogs at home and inside a secure fence
✔️ Avoid dog parks, shared water bowls, and unnecessary socializing
✔️ Vaccinated dogs are still at risk—the vaccine helps reduce severity, but it’s not 100% preventative

What is Canine Distemper?
Distemper is a highly contagious and potentially fatal viral disease that affects a dog’s respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems. It spreads through airborne exposure or direct contact with infected animals, their saliva, urine, or contaminated surfaces.

Symptoms include:

Coughing and nasal discharge
Vomiting and diarrhea
Seizures, tremors, or paralysis
Fever and lethargy
🚩There is no cure, only supportive care.🚩

🛑 Prevention is the best protection.
If your dog shows any unusual symptoms, call your vet immediately.
