This is an interesting read. For those who have had collies that have been afflicted with degenerative myelopathy it is a horrible & insidious disease. While this article does not state collies are a breed that has DM in it, if a collie has been diagnosed as having the early stages of it, they may accept the collie into the study & see if the medication may help. A harness is meant for pulling. Those "no pull" harnesses cause dogs pain. They constrict over sensitive pressure points & the pain caused makes dogs loathe to pull. It does not solve the pulling issue. This is what a dogs structure looks like after using the no pull harness long term. This can cause health issues due to changing the structure of the dog. Train your dog to walk on a leash. It starts in puppyhood. If you get an adult dog, use the correct training tools to get your dog to walk on a leash without pulling. Once trained, they can graduate to a buckle or slip collar.
