⏳ 9 lives end tomorrow at 9AM.
(6:30 update: another rescue might have offered to help)

In OKC, a gorgeous Aussie mamas litter of 4-week-old puppies are set to be lost if no rescue steps in by morning and momma left alone in the shelter. Their eyes are open, their tails just starting to wag — and their whole future will be gone in hours. 💔

We want to say YES. To pull mom and pups together, keep them safe, and give them the shot they deserve.

The only way we’ve gotten this far is because our village keeps pulling together. The Rural Krew pups we saved just weeks ago are now healthy, growing, and almost ready to find their forever families. 🐶 And we’ve got adoption events on the horizon to help more of our rescues land in loving homes.

✨ Meet Mama Melody ✨

Melody’s story is one of survival and second chances. She was an emaciated mama of five, scheduled to be euthanized at 9am one Tuesday morning. Thanks to an incredible outpouring of support, we got her safe — and her last pup, Mystik, came with her.

Now her milk is almost fully dried up, and she’s starting to feel good in her own skin again. Her spay is scheduled for early September with SPCA, but that doesn’t need to hold up her happy ending — she’s available on a foster-to-adopt basis right now. Once her spay is complete, her adoption will be finalized.

Melody is blossoming more every day. She gets the funniest zoomies, racing by at lightning speed, and has shown she can play rough and dominant with Mystik. She’s friendly with other dogs, and we expect her energy will stay on the higher side as she gains confidence and strength.

Her coat is still thin as she recovers, but the sparkle in her eyes says everything — pain in her past, but hope shining bright. She leans in for pets and cuddles, soaking up affection like she’s waited her whole life for it.

She’s crate and potty trained, and the only times we’ve heard her bark are when she’s really excited. Melody is ready to leave her shelter days behind and sprint into a future where she’s loved and cherished.

Meet Cayden 🐾
Cayden is about 10 months old (possibly a little older) maybe about 45lbs now and has the sweetest follower’s heart. He just wants to tag along with his sister Finley and do whatever she does. This boy thrives when he has a confident dog to look up to and a family that will cheer him on as he learns the ropes.

He’s still working on potty training, but he’s eager to please and making progress every day. Cayden’s the kind of pup who wants to do good — he just never had the chance before. With patience and love, he’ll blossom.

And those looks? 😍 Stunning golden eyes and a unique grey-toned, velvety-soft coat that makes him unforgettable.

Cayden would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help show him the way, and a family ready to help him continue learning. In return, he’ll give you loyalty, sweetness, and that soulful gaze that melts your heart.

Finley is possible pitti and Italian greyhound so cayden is a little bigger version and should stay pretty fun size.

Finley – Tiny but Mighty
About 35–40 lbs | Young | Spayed Female

Finley may be compact, but she’s got the heart (and attitude) of a much bigger dog. She’s the confident, take-charge sibling who still melts into hugs when she wants reassurance.

Personality: Bold, playful, independent streak but loves checking back in for love.

Dog Interactions: Can be selective and holds grudges (she and Cinderella are still sorting their differences), so she’ll do best as either the only dog or with a family experienced in slow intros.

Fun Facts: She hops onto the mower like it’s her personal throne—just don’t start the engine!

Training: After a rough potty-training start, she’s been doing awesome the past two weeks. With consistency and patience, she’s only going to keep getting better.

Finley is ready for her person—the one who will see past her sass, guide her with love, and appreciate the joy of a small but mighty companion.

🌟 Gratitude for Our Village 🌟

I’m so grateful for this small but mighty village we’ve built. Because of YOU, we’ve been able to say “yes” — pulling 4 dogs from shelters and taking in 8 more from dire conditions a few weeks back. That’s 12 lives saved, 12 souls given a second chance. 🐾💜

But my heart still hurts every time I have to say “no.” There are always more — the pits in Owasso Shelter who just need time, the kittens with the kitty version of parvo but so adorable fighting for their lives, the pups set to be euthanized tomorrow on OKC ~ along with all the sweet souls here in Tulsa shelter as well as more dumped in our typical areas we check. We want to do more. We need to keep saying yes.

To do that, we have to save the Haven. Right now, it comes down to covering our September mortgage — about $800 still to go (August was a free month with the new loan mod 🙏).

I love this boy so much and he has quadrupled in size and a big guy ~ always picture a haven mascot to take to the schools since he is such a (clumsy still as he grows into his legs and body) gentle giant. He would make a great addition to any family and I the bestest cuddle buddy, like a life size fluffy teddy bear 🧸

🐾✨ Imagine these bright, cozy rooms not just as bedrooms — but as dog foster spaces.
With a little love (water leak & mold repair + A/C fix), we’ll be able to rent out 2–3 of these rooms (hopefully aging out foster kids and a senior person so we can all help and learn together - then repeat later with more real estate!). Each one will also be a space where a dog can soak up that real home energy — spoiled, snuggled, and loved while waiting for forever.

And once we get the shop(s) built (maybe with a local builder willing to seller finance 👀), I’ll move out there with the Haven dogs, freeing up all 4 bedrooms here for both income + foster space. That’s how we build a truly self-sustaining Haven.
