Cat Paw Designs Although the tools and glass are modern, the basic techniques and designs can be traced back hundreds and in some cases thousands of years.

One of a kind hand-made jewelry designs featuring my own hand made lampwork beads. I have been torching for almost ten years now and I still am amazed out how much I learn about glass and how to work with it each and every day. Jewelry design is a natural outgrowth of beadmaking. I never know when I fire up the torch just what will emerge from the kiln. My jewelry designs work the same way, I may

start out with a preconceived idea, but generally the beads themselves will determine the final outcome. We also share out house with a number (which changes quite often) of very spoiled cats. Several of them think they are jewelry critics, and have been known to "help" when a design is not working. Sadly they are almost always right with their judgments. You can be assured that they pieces shown have received their seal of approval.

This Saturday and Sunday from 10 -2 each day, Cat Paw Design and Mrs Vintage Etc will be hosting a JEWELRY OPEN HOUSE @ 13136 Metropolitan Ave, Bonner Springs, KS 66012. There are lots of new pieces that I have not had time to photograph yet that will be availiable at this show as well as the many new pieces I have already posted. Come check out the new pieces we have made for Spring and Summer.

Ok Cat Paw fans, here are two dates you will want to reserve on your calendars. First off, is a two day Open House jewelry extravaganza with Cat Paw Designs and Mrs. Vintage Etc. in Bonner Springs, KS. This sale will be April 6 and 7, and it will be held indoors, so weather will not be a problem. If past history is an example there will be lots of great lampwork bead jewelry, and other custom made creations, and who knows what else because both artists are also antique collectors and we use interesting items in or displays and those pieces are often available for sale as well.
Second, you will want to save the third weekend in April, from the 18th through the 20th. This will be a Mega Sale. Not only will I be lining the drive with Glass, Old Books, Records, and assorted Antiques but we will also have both Cat Paw Designs and Mrs. Vintage Etc. with tables full of custom made, one of a kind, jewelry. This Mega Sale is going to empty out the stuff stored in the garage, the storage unit, and all the goodies I have found over the winter. Not only will there be some specials on some great glass, but there will also be tables of clearance items. I have been informed that I not only had too much stuff before the winter started, I have added a lot of pieces and some of or private collection needs to be thinned as well so this will be a great chance to add to your collection or fill your booth. This sale will be worth bring the truck for. Since this will be an outside sale we can only do it if the weather cooperates so if the weather is bad we will hold off till the last weekend of April.

Here is the annonucement you have all been waiting for. Cat Paw Designs and and Mrs Vintage Etc. will be haveing an Open House and Trunk Show this Sunday the 16th of December. This event will be held at 13136 Metropolitan, Bonner Springs, KS 66012. We will be open from 11:00 to 4:00. These custom made designs feature hand made lampwork beads and vintage findings combined with other materials to create modern and retro looks to meet every need. Custom designs and sizeing will be avaliable during this event. We will have signs out and it will be worth the trip.
