🐾 Picasso's Shelter Adventure! 🐾

Meet Picasso, a 3-year-old Bulldog mix with a big smile and an even bigger heart. ❤️ Today we got out for a 0.8-mile walk, and he was happy to spend some time outside enjoying the fresh air and shade beneath the trees.

Picasso was a great walking buddy! easygoing, friendly, and always ready to stop for a few pets and a photo. His goofy grin says it all! 😄

🐾 Buddy's Shelter Stroll! 🐾

Buddy, a handsome Mastiff mix, joined me for a short but meaningful walk today. ❤️ Even though we covered about 0.3 miles, every step counts when it comes to giving shelter dogs exercise, enrichment, and some extra love.

This gentle giant enjoyed getting outside, taking in the fresh air, and exploring beyond the kennel for a little while. Sometimes the best part of a walk isn't the distance, it's the attention, affection, and chance to just be a dog.

Armstrong and I logged 1 mile together today, and this sweet guy was super affectionate ❤️. From soaking up the sunshine to stopping for kisses, Armstrong was all about enjoying the moment!

One thing's for sure, he's a big fan of giving kisses! 😆 Between the happy tail wags, goofy smiles, and extra love, he made today's walk a fun.

Toby and I hit the pavement for a 1.8-mile walk today! He was all smiles and had plenty of energy to burn!

This handsome guy is full of personality: friendly, curious, and obviously happy to be out exploring. He loves taking in all the sights and smells.

Walks like these also they provide mental enrichment, exercise, one-on-one attention. Toby definitely made the most of every minute!

Every dog in this video is waiting for a second chance.

Some have been here for weeks. Some for months. All of them deserve a loving home.

This June and July, I'm walking 150 miles for the shelter dogs at Heartland Humane Society to help shine a light on the amazing dogs still searching for their families. Every mile is for them.

So far, we've made progress, but there are still many dogs waiting for someone to choose them.

These two helped me cover 2 miles and enjoyed plenty of time to sniff, explore, and stretch their legs. Regular walks aren't just great exercise, they also provide mental enrichment and help keep dogs happy and healthy.

Ozzy got some time out for a 1.1 miles walk today as part of the 150 Miles for Shelter Dogs campaign! 🐾

Ozzy is a 7-year-old Boxer/Coonhound mix at Heartland Humane Society. He was such a nice boy to spend time with. He enjoyed his walk and had a calm, steady personality.

He’s been waiting since August 2025, and he deserves a home where he can finally settle in and be loved. ❤️
