This photo may not look like much to most people, and honestly the algorithm is hiding our posts so I’m hoping maybe some of you see this. But it’s the only photo I’ve really taken in a few days, the truth is we have been so busy. This was taken during morning chores at 6:30am, pigs are just waking up from a safe slumber and our daughter Zoey is reading a book. Sanctuary life is tough, it’s hard days, long days and a lot of physical work. It’s also sad. I got multiple calls, texts, emails about various different neglect cases, one near us and some far… all about animals in desperate situations, needing a safe place like this. I’ve been so busy trying to see how we can help, we have the space… but funding is low. I’ve been trying to raise funds for meds for the month for our permanent residents and can barely do it. I can’t help but feel like a failure sometimes, truly.. when I tell you we can only do this work because of all of YOU, I truly mean it. Whether you give $1, $5, $500… anything helps.
