❤️ Dogs are not robots! ❤️
Remember, your dog has feelings.
Of happiness, excitement, anticipation, and love.
They also experience sadness, anxiety, stress, confusion, overstimulation, and frustration.
And just like our emotions, those feelings are very real and valid to the individual.
They can also change from day to day and with or without context.
We love dogs because they feel deeply and are able to connect with us on an emotional level.
And I don't feel they should be trained and handled with remote controls.
They aren't TVs or toy cars.
Mine are my friends, and I treat them as such.
How they feel matters to me.
Why they might act a certain way matters to me more than the behavior itself.
Because that's where the real problem AND solution lie.
So please treat the sentient being you brought into your human world with the kindness, compassion, and understanding that they deserve.
