We had a full house of wagging tails this 4th of July weekend! From pool splashes to tug-of-war champs and plenty of belly rubs in between, our boarding crew made the most of their holiday staycation. ❤️🐶

🎇With it just around the corner lets talk about keeping pets safe & Calm this 4th of July 🇺🇸

Fireworks and festivities can be fun for us—but for our pets, they can be loud, scary, and overwhelming. Here are a few simple ways to help your furry friend stay safe and relaxed this holiday:

🐾 Create a Cozy Spot
Set up a quiet room with their bed, favorite toys, and maybe some soft music or white noise. A familiar space can help them feel more secure.

🐾 Get That Energy Out Early
Take your pup for a good walk or play session before the noise starts. A tired dog is a calmer dog!

🐾 Keep Them Inside
Even the calmest pets can panic and bolt if they hear fireworks. Keep windows and doors closed and make sure they can’t slip out.

🐾 Check Their ID
Make sure your pet is wearing a collar with up-to-date ID tags, and that their microchip info is current—just in case they get spooked.

🐾 Ask Your Vet About Calming Options
There are calming treats, wraps, and even medications that can help pets with firework anxiety. If your pet gets really nervous, check in with your vet ahead of time.

🐾 Watch Those Party Foods
BBQ bones, chocolate, onions—lots of holiday foods are a no-go for pets. Stick to pet-safe treats!
