I live in Old Orchard Beach, Maine with my husband, my two children, one dog and 3 cats. I love to make things with my hands and for many years now I have been trying different types of craftwork (quilting, sewing, knitting, cake decorating and needle felting). While I enjoy creating items using all of those other methods, needle felting has been the one I keep coming back to. I hope you enjoy loo

I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to felt some Maine scenes. There’s so much beauty in our wonderful state. I chose two classics, our Portland Head Light and the Old Orchard Beach pier, just down the street from me. If any fellow Maine friends have any suggestions, please share, even if you’re not from Maine and just have a favorite Maine location.

Still out here making Anne pieces too! This little collection is heading to a kindred spirit who is going on an LM Montgomery Literary Tour on PEI in early September. How wonderful is that? This is one of my very favorite photos from one of our many trips to Prince Edward Island, way back in 2013. The kids are much bigger now but I bet if we went back to recreate it, the surroundings would look quite similar. I’ve done many custom wool paintings over the years but never one for myself so this was fun. Bears are having a moment right now. I had felted this little guy a while ago and had it in a small hoop but pulled it out recently and decided I’d rather it as an ornament. That first cut is scary but I’ve done it before and it gets easier each time.
