🚨 Miracle in Motion: Marissa’s Horse Update 🐴💖

We had to share something close to our hearts this week.

Our team lead Marissa’s beloved horse suffered a pinched radial nerve—so severe, she could barely walk. For those unfamiliar, this kind of injury in horses is extremely serious. If a horse can’t walk or lay down safely (because they might not be able to get back up), the outcome can be devastating.

The first photo was taken just 30 minutes after her first cold laser therapy session (done at 7:30pm). You can still see the intense swelling.
The second photo, taken the next morning at 8am, shows how quickly her body responded to treatment.
And the third photo? That one is the real tearjerker—with Marissa explaining:

> “See how she’s resting her hind leg opposite the injured one? That’s huuuge improvement. Horses use diagonal limbs for weight distribution, and yesterday she couldn’t rest or lift that leg at all. She was dragging her toe just to lean on it.”

Moments like these are why we do what we do. Whether it’s your dog, cat, or majestic horse—we bring heart, knowledge, and healing into every visit.

Update on Miss Smokey from the owners:

We are so grateful to be a part of this miracle.

"Hello! Finally some good news to report: we’re definitely on the upswing! We had a recheck with our Internal Medicine Dr up at UF today & her lab work came back much improved, & overall she is doing much better at home. We still have a long ways to go to fully recover & will be maintaining her ongoing specialized care up at UF, but we’re on the right track!

Thank you again for paying such close attention to her - there is no doubt that your quick actions to get her to the e-clinic saved her life. That early intervention gave her enough of an edge to pull through. She’s a little bit famous up at UF for being so, so sick & now looking like she’s trending the right direction. We are forever grateful to your team!!"

🩷 Miss Smokey Needs All the Love 🐾

Yesterday, during a routine visit, we noticed Miss Smokey wasn’t acting like herself. She turned down her favorite Churu treat (😱 cat parents know that’s a big red flag), moved slowly in a crouched position, and laid down with no purrs or interest in affection.

There were no signs of illness around the house—just a sweet girl who clearly wasn’t feeling well.

We immediately alerted her owners, who were incredibly responsive. Since her regular vet couldn’t take her, we gathered her records and took her straight to the emergency vet. Smokey rode quietly with us, not a peep—just soft eyes and quiet trust. 💔

At the vet, she underwent bloodwork and X-rays. We stayed by her side, signed all necessary documents, and didn’t leave until she was admitted and cared for. Her amazing family even changed their travel plans to return home early. Their love and devotion were so evident.

Miss Smokey is still at the emergency vet, and we’re anxiously waiting for updates alongside her family. 💕
