We are so proud of Junior!!!! Today he graduated an intensive board and train bootcamp with us.
When we first met Junior he was in TOTAL shutdown: he would sit in a corner and shake for hours, refused to eat for days, terrified of noises, new dogs, people that moved too quickly, grooming, and more.
We also think he was improperly trained on an ecollar in the past, which made using tools could ultimately help him that much harder to access. He would go from manic highs of extreme force and aggression, to deep lows of shutdown.
We slowly took the time needed to regain his trust. It was slow and steady for many weeks. Over time he began to trust us and see that his best interests were what we ultimately all wanted. And his shell finally cracked.
Once that happened he turned into a silly, happy-go-lucky puppy that just wants to be cuddled on the couch, play ball, and hunt lizards.
He now loves his pack, and has forgotten how things started. We can’t wait to see how far he will go and are excited for his return to pack days soon also!! Great work sweet boy!!! 😭😭😭 no dog is to old or too far for rehabilitation. Junior, you’re living proof of that. Thank you for your trust big guy!
