I'm wondering if there's anyone in the Kona, Ocean View, to Pahala area who would like to adopt some chickens? I have a psychopathic neighbor who tortures and murders them whenever he gets the chance, as well as packs of wild dogs that come through and kill what they can, and all I can do is try to find them homes. I care about them, and so I'm looking for people who would like them as pets or for eggs, not dinner. They do provide some useful services: they will produce an endless supply of excellent fertilizer, as well as turn over your compost pile every day! This is an experiment: for a time I am going to use this page as a fundraiser for my animal sanctuary. I will post some things that are for sale, as a way to raise money to pay for animal expenses. We recently had a hurricane pass over, causing a lot of damage, and I need to raise money for repairs & cleanup. Also, my dog Sofia spent 5 days in the hospital with diabetic ketoacidosis, generating a bill of $2,518.00! 😟 She is recovering well, but will need more vet visits and medicine.
