Molly Mule for your consideration

13-year-old Molly mule, standing 14 hands. Three-bell trained to ride, pack, and drive.

She is an easy keeper and does well on regular grass hay and non-wheat byproduct pellets. She has allergies to Bahia grass, orchard hay, and wheat, so diet must be managed accordingly.

Handling & Training:

• Clips, bathes, and trailers well
• Ties all day without issues
• Good with dogs
• At times allows ear handling
* Good for Farrier

• Sometimes difficult to catch unless you make her "work"

• Not for a beginner or first-time mule owner.

Extras Included:
• Mule saddle and pad
• Tack and britches

This is a solid, trained mule best suited for an experienced mule person who understands boundaries and consistency. Owner has given this mule a loving home for the last 5 years. Very motivated to sell to a good home.

Jule, a 13-year-old molly mule, into my program for tuning up. She was purchased years ago at the age of 10, Jule was trained in three disciplines: packing, driving, and riding. Her owner, an individual without prior mule experience, has provided a loving environment and utilized Jule for pleasure riding. Despite the loving care, Jule requires an expert handler with extensive knowledge of mule behavior and psychology.

Millie, a yearling molly mule, is part of my program focused on developing foundational skills including groundwork, mannerisms, patience while tied, respect for personal space, navigating in-hand trail obstacles, and other relevant disciplines suitable for a yearling.

OUR EQUINES COME FIRST

The current situation bears a striking resemblance to the COVID-19 pandemic, with our equine companions now facing a significant threat. Social media platforms are awash with conflicting information, rendering it challenging to discern fact from fiction.

However, one thing is certain for all horse owners:

A highly contagious equine virus (EHV-1) is currently circulating, posing a risk to all horses, regardless of their purpose or breed. In severe cases, this virus can be fatal.

In light of this, I am adopting an extremely cautious approach.
I am not willing to take any risks— whatsoever.

All outside equines scheduled to arrive are hereby placed ON HOLD.

Sales horses are also ON HOLD, as hauling will be strictly prohibited at this time.

As horses are my livelihood, I will never compromise their health— mine, my clients', or anyone else's.

I strongly encourage everyone to exercise extreme caution in this situation. Being overly cautious now is far preferable to regretting inaction later.

One of the Gypsies I started under saddle a few years ago. Great mind, no drama , takes in whatever you ask her to do!

As I work my way into semi-retirement, I am reducing my numbers. Working at getting down to only 20! Since I have kept Missy's daughter, Missy is looking for a new rider. My favorite mare to ride. Very athletic yet very much traditional type.

🔥 Why Desensitization
Matters More Than
"Games" for a Young Horse. 🔥

When starting a young horse, one of the most important things we can do is help them build confidence through calm, consistent desensitization - not just run through a set of “natural horsemanship games."

True desensitization isn't about getting a reaction; it's about removing fear and teaching the horse how to think instead of panic. We want them to learn that new sights, sounds, and sensations are safe, that they can trust us and stay relaxed.

A lot of the popular groundwork exercises out there can accidentally do the opposite. If we focus too much on "moving the horse's feet" or getting a dramatic response, we may just be rehearsing pressure and release, not actually helping the horse feel safe.

With a young horse, confidence is everything. The goal is a partner who's steady-minded and unflappable, not just obedient, but brave.

Desensitization done well builds that foundation for everything that comes later, from trail riding to performance work.

At the end of the day, l'd rather have a horse that's curious and calm than one that's just "playing the game.”
