2nd Life Animal Rescue Alabama We are a 501c3 small animal rescue organization.

We provide assistance to animals abandoned on Alabama's streets, subsequently placing them in rescues outside of the South once they have received veterinary care and are deemed healthy.

The original owner was contacted and so was the cruelty officer. The decision to let him pass over the rainbow bridge made. RIP Phoenix /Zeus 🌈🐾🐕

Phoenix was found emaciated and has mange. He wandered up to ahome asking for help. He is refusing to eat but is drinking.

He is in need of vetting, neuter, heartworm treatment and a dog house.

We will get him to the vet for help.

Update he has had surgery on both ears and they are doing a full body cut to be able to see the full extent of his injuries.

He needs surgery on his ears and he has cuts in his mouth. He is get IV fluids and pain meds.

Update at vet receiving medical care. Still in need of funding to help take care of Junior.

FOUND UNDER ABANDONED HOUSE PORCH.

Blood everywhere. Bleeding from mouth and ears are ripped. Smells really bad.

We are on our way to the vet. They are closed on the weekend but vet is coming into help this dog.

We have a stray dog we picked up needing vetting. Most likely will be needed to be sedated cannot touch ear. PUS OOZING OUT. I HAVE PUT PEROXIDE ON IT..Thats all I can do.

Update on Frito went to the vet today.

Doing better everyday. Still limps on front leg and has stiff back leg.

They started him on some medication for the urine incontinence.

Heis heartworm positive he started is doxycycline today. Will start his heartworm treatment next Thursday. 🙏🏼
