Hero is a little tired of his Mom, the tax accountant, working all the time. But he makes me laugh. Yes, Hero has a unique personality and he reminds me of it each day. We are counting down the days until April 16 when we will be taking a LONG walk on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and enjoying time with one another. I love you Hero and I thank God for your companionship and life saving alerts each day!

Me and my new mom

My time with my family is coming to an end. My mom told me it is time to do what I have been trained to do. I will go spend a couple of weeks with Johanna, and then the end of April I will be going to my new mom. I will miss my friends and family, but I know in my heart there always there with me. But I have a higher purpose in life. I am ready for my life as a Diabetic Alert Service Dog. I have helped many other D.A.D.S get through some of their own issues/fears and have meant many other great D.A.D.S. I promise to keep her safe. I promise to always be by her side. I promise to do everything I can to see that her diabetes doesn’t get the best of her. I saved a life today. I am a Diabetic Alert Dog, it’s in the job description.
