GHHR&R Florida Division (aka Gypsy Heritage Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation)is a 501c3 nonprofit horse rescue located in DeLeon Springs, FL right on Spring Gardens Ranch Rd. The Rescue would like to be a community based place for not only rescue horses, but for learning. Starting this Summer/Fall, we will be joining forces with our dear friends of Empowrd Art & Animal Outreach to teach bead working, leather working as well as the art of making dream catchers, and so much more. This will become available for children and adults. We will have reading with the horses for the children, and educational time for children to learn about horses. We are apart of your community, and we welcome you to become a part of ours.

Dr. Lou came out and removed Primal Song's stitches today, after reviewing his discharge papers from Ocala Equine. He said that the area has healed very well since surgery, and feels keeping it uncovered would be best. Continue with rest, and light walking. And once we get the ok...farrier for his feet

The Rescue has been blessed with some wonderful helpers...Kaylin who feeds all the horses every morning, gives all of them special loving, and helps whenever we need extra help at the barn. She has been a wonderful addition to our rescue family, and we truly appreciate her...so, if you see our wonderful Kaylin Casey, be sure to stop and give her a huge hug. Thank her for being there everday for the rescues. Then there is Angela, what can I say about all of her creative ideas, and work that she has taken on, on her own. She has so much going on, and yet she has a miracle minute to make the rescue flyers, and posts. Our friendship has blossomed throughout the years...and I am blessed to call her my friend. Then there is Sandy...a friend of matching age and compassion for the horses. She shares her thoughts, and helps with the other matters such as her help yesterday with transporting a horse that we had to bring in. She is a previous adopter, friend and soon to be boarder at our barn. I am so grateful to have these 3 people in my life...Kaylin Casey, Angela Russo, and Sandy Boaz. Thank you so much ❤️ for all you do for the horse rescue

Our sweet boy, Primal Song, gets his stitches out on Monday, by Dr. Lou. I'm sure this boy will be a much happier, but we will be doing bandage changes every 2 days.

Thank you to a dear friend, for creating this flyer. And also...thank you to those who contributed to the horses, for hay, feed and shavings. The rescue was able to get 22 bales of o/a, 12 bags of shavings and feed. We had a new case come in today, which will need some extra TLC...so can we keep this going. The folks here at GHHR&R Thank you so much.
Thank you all..Let's keep on Rockin' The Rescue

This serves as a heart felt reminder of the realities of rescue and farm life. It involves a baby goat jumping on you to be fed before bedtime, while your husband prepares a bottle. The work is physically demanding and all-consuming, requiring every spare moment to complete tasks in order to mitigate the workload for the following day. Even the most intimate moments are interrupted, and mothers can attest to the frequency with which their children require attention. In these moments, multitasking becomes a necessity, and it is not uncommon for one's spouse to find humor in these situations and capture them on camera. Self-care and prioritizing one's health are often neglected in favor of attending to the needs of others. Spare time is scarce, yet there is always time to show love and kindness. Despite the exhaustion that comes with balancing work, life, and responsibilities, one always finds a way to pay it forward. Commitments are never declined, and one's door is always open to those in need. We feel profoundly grateful for the opportunities we have been afforded to continue living our dream. I am blessed with a remarkably patient and supportive husband and daughter, who fuel my passions, as well as the best momma and soul sisters anyone could ask for. You guys are truly appreciated. ❤️

As most of our followers know, the current horses in our care are on Triple Crown Complete feed. Tomorrow we have a special rescue coming in that will require a complete refeed regimen. We are asking if any of our followers would like to be apart of his restoration to wellness. There are things that could be called into Tractor Supply in Deland that could help with his process...Quest Plus Wormer, Purina Healthy Edge Feed, Oats, Alfalfa/Timothy Pellets, Probiotics...If calling into TS...put it under Gypsy Heritage Horse Rescue ... or you could use the QR Code to ZELLE directly for a monetary donation. Our email is [email protected]
Remember...it takes a village to help them

Emma got to meet the neighboring horses today, as I opened the gate from her paddock to the attached paddock, to let her have more space. She was quite intrigued by them...and there is an aisle way between our yard and there's so no touchy.
