Benji doesn't look too thrilled in this photo, but when he's done & off the table, it's playtime with little sister Rizzo!! He was fired up today when we got finished! Rizzo got her nails done as usual, so they had a little break before playing like crazy 🥰 Thanks to everybody for being patient! Now for mother nature to take that snow away just as fast as it showed up!

Drayson was my last baby before the snow started! Huge thanks to his momma & Hank's for letting me get an earlier start today! I had about an hour to spare! Drayson also got to debut the honeydew & cucumber fragrance! It's a nice fresh scent that reminds me of clean laundry almost. Nothing like a fresh & clean puppy to cuddle with while staying warm & safe inside!

Hank was his usual self today! He needed some extra conditioning, so don't mind the curly spots! Just product to help him comb out easier😊

His mom also got to sample my 3 new fragrances & chose "Wild Orchid & Vanilla" for sweet Hank today! He smells like a bouquet of flowers that give side eye🤣 I also got to meet their new puppies & oh my goodness they are the most adorable babies! I needed puppy cuddles & to smell some puppy breath after my chaotic morning. They fixed me right up & I can't wait to show them off next time!!

Asa is such an expressive boy😁 As always, don't let that face fool you! He's happy about his fresh haircut (from yesterday...having to play catch-up)! What his face says is "I don't like the snow either!"

VIRAL "WHISK" TRICK thoughts from your groomer:

Life hacks are usually great, but this one leaves a little to be desired. You've seen the viral posts of people knocking snow off their long haired dogs (usually doodles) with a whisk. While that's an amazing idea, it leaves out the part that keeps your dog from becoming matted! When the hair is still wet or damp, if you have detangling or conditioning spray, soak the coat in that. Then, use your slicker brush to get any tangles out. Check your work with a fine toothed metal comb. If you hit any snags with the comb, hold the tangle with your fingers & brush from your fingers to avoid irritating your dog's skin.

Ideally, have your dog brushed & combed out completely before they frolic in the snow. Either way, brush & comb after!! Otherwise your next purchase will be a dematting haircut & a sweater 💸💸💸🥶

Before you start purging those closets, keep me in mind! I will take your unneeded standard sized bath towels! 💲1️⃣ off any service for each towel! No frayed edges, please😉

If you give anything with a fun print or color, I use bleach to make sure towels are thoroughly disinfected! If you see it again on your baby, it may look a little different.

Waiting a few days for safe conditions in case the roads or walkways freeze up is the better choice than me risking an accident in my car or injuring myself slipping on frozen ground. The latter could end my career altogether.

Please understand that I need and greatly value your business, but I don't want my career to end because of the weather! It will be better in a day or two usually (this is Arkansas where we had tornadoes yesterday). I'll work early & late to accommodate everybody if we have to take snow days!

A groomer that's in a state where it has already iced over tried to go to work today & now has a shattered elbow. It will be a long time before she can go back to work if she can even go back to grooming. The situation is truly devastating!

Meet Zero!!

My last dog of 2024 was a new client referred by some awesome colleagues!! Zero was nervous at first, but he tolerated having months of dead stuck coat brushed & blown out! Honestly it was so satisfying seeing the clumps of hair come out 🥰 After plenty of blow out time & some scissoring-up, this sweet boy is going into 2025 all fresh & clean 😎

I groom your dog in your home. That's the way I roll. I'm insured as a house call groomer & your property is covered along with your pet in case of an accident. Your house doesn't have to be clean. I'll clean up after myself. The situations I can't accommodate are homes with heavy smokers or other hazardous conditions like hoarding. Mobile groomers or salons can better accommodate you in those instances.
