We had an URGENT plea from DeSoto County Animal Services.
Like most shelters and rescues right now, they're inundated and overwhelmed with kittens and adult cats.

They neutered and vetted around 12-15 kittens to take them to a big adoption event in Arcadia this past weekend, but unfortunately they weren't adopted and there's no room for them back at the shelter.

We have pleas out to all of our rescue partners, but if you're looking for a kitten to adopt, or if you'd like to foster, please reach out to Theresa or DeSoto County Animal Services.

They're fully vetted and their time is limited..

The pictures aren't great, but they're all young and adorable kittens.

Please be an advocate for Spaying and Neutering.. It's so important!! 🥲

Dear Clients of Paws Lee County,

Paws Lee County was announced to close, and it is sad and hard to see this happen. Paws Lee County is irreplaceable; however we may think of the word transfer, since you will still be able to obtain the same services at the same location under the name of Paws@Vet.

The condition of non-for-profit organization that Paws Lee County has kept throughout the years were in funds in the form of donations, grants and benefits from the government were received, will be gone forever; but at Paws@Vet we are committed to continue bringing improvements to both clients and patients while keeping affordable prices that you can check on our website pawsatvet.com .

Unfortunately, Paws@Vet will not be able to afford discounted prices for people on public assistance or to continue the TNR program the way some old clients of Paws Lee County were used to. We deeply apologize for these inconveniences and appreciate your understanding.

We hope to have the opportunity to continue helping your furry friend at Paws.

This precious angel was found in the Cape Coral Hospital parking lot in the middle of the afternoon today and brought to our clinic.

All 4 of her paw pads have major burns on them from the hot pavement.
We're not sure how she ended up in a huge parking lot all alone.. It's possible that she was hiding in someone's wheel-well or engine and then jumped out when the car finally came to a stop.
We'll never know. We're just glad she's safe and will have MUCH better days ahead!

She's not even old enough to eat on her own yet and will need to be bottle fed.

Little Tangerine is going into a foster home for a few weeks for some TLC and bottle feeding and as soon as she's 8 weeks old, she'll be ready to find a home of her own.

And yes, she's a rare little orange tabby GIRL!

We just heard about a very worthy fundraiser happening on Fort Myers Beach in 2 weeks, so mark your calendars. 📌

On Friday, April 5th, from 5-8pm, The Liki Tiki BBQ on Fort Myers Beach will be having a benefit for Save Our Strays Feline Rescue.

S.O.S. Feline Rescue is going above and beyond to feed, neuter and provide medical care for the stray cats on the beach and would be grateful for any support.

They're a nonprofit organization and every penny goes directly towards the care of the Beach Cats.

So head to the Liki Tiki for some great food, drinks and entertainment, while helping the kitties.
It's a win-win!

💗 We have 6 tiny visitors this morning! 💗

A good samaritan found these precious babies with their eyes barely open, in a rain puddle and brought them to us.

They were soaking wet and covered in mud.

Our team member Dana jumped into action to get them dried off and warmed up.

They're all resting comfortably and will be picked up shortly by our friends from A Roof for Roofus Rescue to be bottle fed and cared for until they're old enough to be adopted into loving homes.

Thank you to everyone involved for making this a successful rescue.

Our thoughts are with their mama-kitty too and hope that she's faring well in this rainy weather and will be TNR'd someday.. 😔
For anyone with feral / stray cats in their neighborhood, we have a TNR program for them for $45 per cat to be sterilized and vaccinated. Street Cats have such a hard life, but giving them the gift of being spayed and neutered does make things a little easier for them..

Look at this beautiful little face!

Sadie is definitely one-of-a-kind.. In all of our years in rescue, we can't remember seeing another dog who looked just like her.

She's very new to us, so we're not sure how she is with other dogs, cats and children, but she absolutely LOVES people and is an absolute sweetheart. She's very happy and playful.

Sweet Sadie Mae is currently 40 pounds, around 18 months old, spayed, vaccinated and was tested Negative for Heartworm Disease. 🎉

Sadie is being fostered in the shelter area of Paws, but her adoption will be through Theresa, our former clinic director, so if you're interested in meeting her, or have any questions, please call or email Theresa directly at (239)994-2514 or [email protected]

Please share this to help Sadie find her forever home.. She thinks that living at Paws is "okay" for now, but she'd really love a family of her own. 🐾

Please share to help this handsome little guy a new home. He's currently living in a semi-truck, but it's not the ideal fit for him.
He sounds like a very good boy from the post.
