The best guard girl! ❤️ We wouldn’t have a farm without a Livestock Guardian Dog. Best investment on our farm by far.

Farm chores aren’t just about feeding animals at our house. It teaches our daughter that there Is more to life than an iPad. It teaches her responsibility, work ethic, and resilience. Today she helped me catch and pen 3 lambs in a huge pasture, get them to a shady barn, and make sure they were safe and hydrated with water in this Alabama heat.

Every day she has chores inside and outside of our house. Every day she whines about it, but the more she does it, the less she complains. She is starting to enjoy most of it, especially if it involves the garden. She loves picking vegetables and she canned her first batch of pickled okra this weekend.

Get your kids outside. They deserve a childhood that consists of more than a screen.

We welcomed Dixie, Misty, and Ivy to our flock today. These sweet girls came from McMinnville TN and are all NABSSAR registered. We are excited to add more ewes to our breeding program.

Did you know pumpkins are a natural dewormer for sheep? My little farm girl helped me pick our first pumpkins of the year today to feed our sheep. The sheep went wild - they ate an entire pumpkin in less than 2 minutes. 🤣

We made a trip this morning to deliver Sterling to the Birmingham Zoo. He joined Willie Nelson, one of our other 2025 lambs, who has been at the zoo since the end of May. We had the best day, got the special treatment, and witnessed our lambs loving their new home! Nelson has adjusted well and is living his best life - they are both going to be spoiled rotten!

I’ve got quite a few messages and phone calls for people looking for ewes this week. Unfortunately, we are completely sold out of lambs for the year except for this little guy. He is 7 weeks old and a wether. Great temperament and absolutely adorable!

He would make a great pet for any farm that already has sheep or a companion for a ram when he is separated from the rest of the flock.

PM me for price! I will not sell a single lamb to a farm that does not already have sheep. They need a companion.

Next year, I’ll have a lot of “trash fleece” for our garden and will share it with our gardening friends! It makes the BEST compost and helps your garden thrive! I believe in a few things that make a garden go wild: eggshells, chicken 💩, gin trash (iykyk), and compost. All things we can find around the farm for free. 👏

When skirting fleeces, my "trash" fleece goes in the compost pile. As they say, "One man's trash is another's treasure." An Eastern Kingbird has put it to good use for its nest in the Sycamore tree. Meet Lincoln! He is 1 week old, loves his Mama, fighting with his brother, and pretending he’s a bunny. He will be ready for his new home mid-June and comes from great genetics. PM for details on how you can add him to your flock!
