When I made Kiki’s chair I used a booyah stroller body but her leg hung off a little. Now that was fine when we pushed her in it as we could navigate for her, but we had a few close calls with that little bit of leg hanging beyond the cart. If she drove to close to fencing, the dumpster, the tractor etc if that leg caught and she kept going…I don’t even want to think about it!
So I swapped it out for a slightly larger gorilla cart body. It’s a bit large for the barn but of course Kiki is figuring it out. ❤.

Remember the sick little Roo we took about two weeks ago? He’s doing better between the antibiotics and neb treatments. A lot less j***y and wheezy. I was fussing with Kiki’s joystick and I looked over to check on my mom. There he was sitting on her lap. I went back to what I was doing and a few minutes later I checked on her again ( she never sits still( and he was still there!! I went over and took a little video. What a perfect little Alzheimer’s companion you are! Your hired!

We started Kiki in her side laying position in her motorized cart as that is how she has the best head control. Now that she understands cause and effect of the joystick she is working on deliberate movements in an upright position. We hope at some point we can get Kiki in an upright position on her cart and able to use her head/neckto manipulate the joystick. This ball along with so many other items were off our wishlist. Thank you!!

I sometimes fear we aren’t making enough progress, then I remember where he was, remind myself it hasn’t even been a month yet, that we are trying to undo four months of being down, malnutrition, anemia, liver failure, an untreated bacterial infection, contracted tendons, septic joints…and those baby steps he’s taking just might as well be him walking on the moon. You got me Lil Auggie Moo, goosebumps and tears. Keep fighting for it sweet boy. ❤ We are head over hooves in love with you!
