First time working the teeter totter bridge. Pretty happy with the kiddos and the horses. 😀
We primarily offer boarding and children's riding lessons. We also offer birthday parties and other activities. Check us out @ palmettostables.net!

Had fun making treats for the horses with these sweet kiddos. They got to meet a visitor from our other farm 😀. ❤🐴🐐
Wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has been waiting so patiently on our waiting list for riding lessons. Some of you have been waiting for a LONG time! At this time with the lesson schedule being full and with so many currently on the waiting list, I have decided to stop adding any new positions to the waiting list until the list shrinks down some. Thank you for your patience and understanding! I appreciate each and every one of you!
Whew! One container down and several more to go! It feels good getting rid of all this old junk, but maybe not so much having to replace it lol😂! I know I will love the new fencing and changes I do just wish I could wake up to it all being done over night! This pile and container is only half of what is left to be torn down 😬. One day at a time!
It's not perfect, BUT it is a nice ride and will be beautiful once Spring greens it up. Still have some clean up to do and cutting back, but the trail ride around the perimeter of the property is up and running!! Man it feels good to have it mostly done. ❤🐴😍
I have an incredible announcement to make!! An anonymous donor has paid for one child to attend one of our summer camps! If you know of a deserving child ages 5yrs to 14 yrs old who loves horses, but their family does not have the means to send them to camp; we want to hear their story! DEADLINE is May 1st, 2020. There are just a few rules to nominate a child.
1. The child can not be in your household. They may be related to you i.e. niece/nephew, grandchild, etc, but they may not live in your house.
2. The family must not be able to normally afford camp tuition.
3. Tell us about the child and why they deserve this gift.
4. Please include contact information( name, address, and phone) of the child's parent(s) or guardian, so we can notify them of their gift and send information about the camp.
You may remain anonymous to nominate if you wish. Please send your nominations to [email protected] or mail to Palmetto Stables c/o Leighton Jones

Happy Thanksgiving!! We are thankful for our family, friends, and all of you! Our turkeys are thankful they received their traditional pardon again this year!😂 edited for photo credit: Cindy Smith, #allthingsoutdoorsnorthga
Enjoyed the field trip from Aiken Elementary this chilly morning!
Thank you to all of those who have served and continue to serve our country in the most selfless way anyone can by risking your own life for ours. May God bless you and protect you!!! *not my photo
Ended the day yesterday with a field trip with Girl Scout Troop 20022! They were so much fun 😀.
Thank you to everyone who came out today and supported us!! The horses enjoyed the visitors! It was a chilly start, but turned out to be a gorgeous day. Pony rides will start back up in March. Hope to see everyone there!
I always forget to post some pics from our rainy day lessons. These are from this week. We did anatomy of the horse, parts of tack, and white markings on the horse. 😀
Last night the Lord sent us one of the most stunning sunsets to let us know our sweet Patience was home with him. If there was any horse worthy of heaven it was surely this saint in horse form. We were only blessed to have a few years with her as she came to us late in her life, but her hoof print was laid deep in our hearts. She lived a long life, longer than some, but not nearly long enough for us. My little said it best as she hugged her goodbye one last time, " I love you with all my heart Patience."
Loving these fall days 😍.
We had a nice turn out for the pony rides on this gorgeous day!! Thank you to all who came out today to support us. We appreciate you!
Wrapped up the week with the last field trip of awesome kiddos from Merriwether Elementary!
Had another fabulous group from Merriwether Elementary today for a field trip!

A huge THANK YOU to those who attended the Mommy and Me Unicorn Tea Party!! The little ladies were so precious having tea together.😍 I was too busy to get many photos and didn't get any of them with the unicorn at the tea table. Mom's who attended if you would like to share pics I would love to see them!.
Registration for this event closes on September 28th!! Contact me via email at [email protected] or 803 439 3022 to reserve your spot!
Well I had grand visions of surprising the students on the new trail ride this coming week, but as they say how the best laid plans go....Reality came crashing down as I realized things weren't going to be completed as soon as I planned for them to be. There were quite a few set backs. However, what once was only a dream is becoming a reality! After years, yes I mean years, of patience and hard work I am finally putting one of my plans into motion. When fully completed we will have about a mile long track around the perimeter of the farm not including the cross sections inbetween pastures! It will serve a couple purposes for us, but most importantly it gives us a double fenced perimeter for the horses safety and a beautiful trail ride around the farm. We have a lot more hard work ahead, but I absolutely can not wait until it is completed!❤🐴
Loving these pics from the Rustic Horse photo shoot with Josh Rinder from That One Guy Photography!

Had a great field trip with this crew from classical conversations of Crawford!!
We had a huge crowd at the pony rides today! One of the largest crowds we have ever had in the 3 years we have been doing this. We never know how many people are actually going to show up, so it was a pleasant surprise to see so many sweet little faces smiling as they got a turn on the horse.😍 We so appreciate your support! An extra THANK YOU to those who waited patiently and braved the heat today to come out to support us. We wouldn't do this if it weren't for y'all!! Hope everyone had a great time! ❤🐴
We are so excited for our first pony rides of the fall season!! A few things to remember: It is cash only and $5/ride. Children must be under 100 lbs and able to support and hold on by themselves. Please bare with us as parking is limited and we do our best to get everyone in and out smoothly. ATTENTION to those who have ridden with us in the past. The riding area has moved direcrly across to the other side of the farm. If you look to the left as you pull down, you will see us set up. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!!😀🐴❤
Registration for the Mommy and Me Unicorn Tea party will close on September 21st! Please contact me via email [email protected] or 803-439-3022 to make your reaervation.
The "out with the old pile" is growing!! It is ugly and past due, but y'all can I just say it is a relief to finally be able to get rid of things. It looks like progress and accomplishment to me!😀😂 The farm is getting a long needed refresher. I have moved the riding ring and round pen that will get a face lift later. I added some new fencing and put up a cute little entry way upfront. The old riding ring came down today expanding the top field. I even found a cool surprise in the fence boards! Hopefully this month I will get another surprise section done that I think the boarders and students are going to love.❤ Stay posted for more to come!!🐴🔧🔨🚜
Two spots left for the Rustic Horse photo shoot. If you are interested now is the time to make a reservation, it closes on the 4th!!
Who needs the giraffes at the zoo when you have horses!😂😀❤
I believe I could have aired a series called So you think you're smarter than a racoon! For 3 weeks I have been taunted by the trash panda gang. I've tried whatever people suggested: cat food, chicken, fish fillet, sardines, honey bun, oat meal pie, peanut butter and marshmallows. Finally this past week I can finally say, yes I am smarter than a racoon...well at least these 4 lol. Even got 2 in one! I still don't believe their reign is over, but hopefully I have lessened their ranks. 😂🐾
Last question!! We bought a farm last year with the hopes of it being a second location. Today's question: What city is it in? First person to answer correctly wins this t-shirt!
After graduating highschool I set off to work on a dude ranch for the summer as a wrangler. Today's question: Where is the ranch located (bonus pts if you know the city 😉)? First person to answer correctly wins this t-shirt!
Forgot to post today's question!! Better late than never 😂. Today's question: I graduated from USC-Aiken with a bachelor's degree. What field is my degree in (be specific)? First to answer correctly wins this t-shirt!
Spots are starting to fill up for the Rustic Horse Photoshoot. Registration will close September 4th. Contact me to reserve your spot!
Last week of t-shirt giveaway, so the questions are going to get a little harder! I bred two of my mares many years ago and had two foals, a boy and a girl. Today's question: What is the name of one of the foals born(either the boy or girl)? First person to answer correctly wins a this t-shirt!
Today's question: How many horses do I currently own? First person to answer correctly gets this t-shirt!
When it's been so hot that the heat makes you forget who and what you are. 😂😂 We thought about calling them tucks or durkeys, but decided on country flamingo. 😂😀 I was having a hard time keeping the trough clean for the ducks, now that the turkeys are getting in it too I'm doomed! ** Yes I clean it daily, birds are just nasty and Yes they have another waterer that stays clean. They have plenty of clean drinking water 😉.
I started out riding english and showed a tiny bit in hunter jumper when I wasn't riding the horses wild and bareback on the farm. My twin sister got us into barrel racing. Today's question: With what association did I barrel race? Promise there is no conflict with the answer today!😂😀🐴❤
Today's question: How many acres does our farm have? First person to answer correctly wins a t-shirt!🐴❤
