Molly's Militia was founded in 1999 by Elaine van der Linden after visiting a local animal shelter an SPAY AND NEUTER

There are over 3000 animals euthanized in animal shelters in our area each month. Not all of these animals are "unwanted, unlovable, or unadoptable" - they just found themselves in unfortunate positions where no one knew to look for them! Molly's is committed to seeking out those animals that just need a little TLC before moving on to their forever homes. As a general rule, Molly's only accepts animals from shelters - not from individual homes.

Mollys Militia is looking for two volunteers to take care of our cats in the cat room at the North Augusta Petsmart on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings. It takes 1-2 hours per week and makes it possible for the rescue to continue saving cats and kittens!
Volunteers must be over 18.

Here’s Birdie! What a doll, a Cane Corso about 4 years old, spayed, vaccinated and ready for her new home. She seems to be housetrained and is definitely sweet with people and other dogs!

Birdie has quite the Cinderella story but suffice it to say she deserves to get the best home this time around.

Little 4-month-old Han needs emergency surgery to repair an incarcerated hernia! The wonderful staff at Rodger’s Veterinary is doing his surgery today. Please donate if you can to help us cover the $500-$600 estimated cost. Having this come at the beginning of kitten season is definitely not ideal! Normally donations can be called into the vets office, but since they aren’t actually open today, you can donate by PayPal or mail a check, so we can replenish our vet fund!

102 years of doing great things. We lost a super man Jan Van der Linden husband, Father and Friend. He and Elaine started Molly's Militia in 1999 we were blessed be able to continue the dream in 2016. In life you meet people that strive to do good and are able to live life till the end. Though the years Jan Debbie and I had many conversations I'm not sure I understood what was being said but I know the stories were good. The picture was taken at Cracker Barrel maybe a month ago.

UPDATE Jan 29th: these VERY loving &friendly ❤️ puppies 🐶 are ready to be adopted! Briggs and Daphne are 11 weeks old and have first shots, worming, Nexgard and microchip.
We think Daphne is very much a bird dog with hints of dalmation.
Briggs is shorter legged and has a longer shepherd-y coat. Call or write for more info. Donna 803-640-2068

UPDATE: your many kind responses to help these babies was overwhelming. Thank you! We have them all vetted, bathed and safe in their foster homes.
They are ~10 week old bird dog or shepherd type mixes. The fluffy shepherd type coat pup is pictured again beside the “box” picture.
We will begin showing them for adoption in early February.

Seeking help for 3 puppies til next Friday Jan 30 when one of our puppy fosters opens up. They were dumped in road last night and the person observing that has them now . They need a warm place to shelter. Can be split up.

Molly’s Militia needs a special home for a special cat! She is loving and playful, but she is also 8 years old and doesn’t care for other animals or children.

Rainbow was adopted as a kitten and returned a few months ago at 8 years old! When we initially got her back, she did not trust people at all and wouldn’t let anyone touch her. Her foster family has worked miracles with getting her to trust people again and show her affectionate and playful personality!

She is still adamant though that she doesn’t want to be around children or other animals.

Her foster family is moving at the beginning of February and it would be so much better for Rainbow to be able to go directly from the foster she loves to her true forever home instead of moving to another foster She is located in Augusta GA, but for a great home, we would be willing to transport her quite a ways!

She is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and negative for FELV and FIV.

If you don’t have room for her in your home and life, please share this post, because someone you know might!
