The importance of priming white fencing👇

This fence started showing yellow/brown discoloration just weeks after painting. The problem wasn’t the color — it was the prep.

What happened:
• Raw wood wasn’t properly primed
• Knots and tannin bled through the coating
• Latex paint was applied directly to fresh, unpainted lumber
• Moisture and sun exposure accelerated the bleed

The result?
A white fence that already looks aged and stained.

The correct process:
✔ Spot-prime knots and stain-prone areas with our Fence + Barn White Oil Base
✔ Apply Enamel Pro White Fence + Barn to finish

White fencing is one of the hardest colors to make look good long-term because it shows EVERY issue underneath.

Good paint matters.
But the right prep matters more.
