PUPPY PRESCHOOL (8 weeks to 1 year)
A.K.C. S.T.A.R. PUPPY PROGRAM
The AKC Puppy S.T.A.R. program is an incentive program for responsible dog owners who have taken the time to train and socialize their dogs. S.T.A.R. is an acronym for "Socialization”, “Training", "Activity", and a "Responsible" owner, all the things a puppy needs to have a good life. Life skills will be taught to new pups and include the basic commands such as "sit", "down", "stay", "coming when called", proper socialization and interactions as well as responsible dog ownership. A certified CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Evaluator will teach this course. This class is open to all pups up to one year of age.

DOG OBEDIENCE LEVEL 2 / AKC CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC) PROGRAM, AKC ADVANCED CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGCA)
This class will further enhance the relationship between the pet and owner. Consistency and reliability will be significantly improved through distraction and attention training. Introduction to off-lead stays and recall will be introduced.
AKC Canine Good Citizen provides a great option in training your dog in a group environment. CGC stresses good manners in the presence of people and other dogs. CGCA is designed to evaluate a dog’s real world skills in a natural community setting. I believe mastering the advanced skills covered in CGC, CGCA, and CGCU will aid in obtaining a therapy certification.
NOTE: Therapy dog certification is required by most health care facilities and schools for visiting dogs and handlers.
Open to all dogs that have completed the household obedience one. Testing for the CGC and CGCA, is included in the fee.
