ACDC Rescue brings in strays, animals from owners and shelters in the Philadelphia region – locally! We take both healthy animals as well as at-risk or urgent animals at shelters that may have broken limbs or infections. Every animal undergoes an initial vet exam, Felv/FIV/HW testing (cats), receive microchips, age appropriate vaccinations and spay/neuter. Treatment for additional medical conditions is required for nearly 60% of our rescued animals, including many urgent or at risk animals.

Meet Dune! This handsome boy is the perfect combination of playful and affectionate. He loves spending time romping around with his siblings, chasing toys, and enjoying all the fun that kitten life has to offer. When playtime is over, Dune is more than happy to settle in for some love and attention. He enjoys pets, cuddles, and being close to his people, making him a wonderful companion. With his sweet personality and loving heart, Dune is ready to find a forever family to share all of life’s adventures with.

Meet Freckles!

Freckles is the kind of cat who turns a house into a home the moment he settles in. This happy, cuddly boy has a purr motor that starts up at the slightest hint of attention—and once it’s going, it doesn’t quit. He’s equal parts playful and snuggly, spending his days watching wildlife from the window, chasing ribbons and wand toys, and happily “hunting” bird videos on TV like it’s his full-time job. He’s incredibly affectionate and not picky about how he gets his love—pets, belly rubs, brushing…he’s all in. Give him some scritches on his head, ears, and neck and you’ll have a best friend for life. He also loves being held and will gladly soak up every second of your attention. But if you Ask Freckles what truly makes him happiest? It’s curling up on the sofa with his human, purring contentedly while the world fades away.

Sootica is ready to be your one-and-only!

This petite little beauty is sweet, playful, and full of purrs! 🥰 She loves pets, brushing, head butts, kisses, and hanging out right beside her favorite human. She’s affectionate but independent—she’ll happily soak up your love and then let you know when she’s ready for some “me time.”

Why adopt a solo kitty? Because sometimes one cat is all you need! Sootica could be your devoted little sidekick, soaking up all the love without having to share you. ❤️

Meet Ernie!

This little tabby boy is equal parts cuddle bug and comedy show. He’s the first to investigate a new toy, the first to chase a crinkly ball across the room and usually the first to seek out a lap for a nap. Friendly, curious, and always ready for fun, he loves wand toys, a and zooming around with his siblings. When playtime is over he’s happy to curl up beside you and purr himself to sleep. He’d love a home with plenty of playtime and cozy spots for naps. He would prefer to be adopted with Everett or into a home with a young friendly feline.
