ACDC Rescue brings in strays, animals from owners and shelters in the Philadelphia region – locally! We take both healthy animals as well as at-risk or urgent animals at shelters that may have broken limbs or infections. Every animal undergoes an initial vet exam, Felv/FIV/HW testing (cats), receive microchips, age appropriate vaccinations and spay/neuter. Treatment for additional medical conditions is required for nearly 60% of our rescued animals, including many urgent or at risk animals.

Our Story

ACDC Rescues animals from owners and shelters in the Philadelphia region – locally! We take both healthy animals as well as at-risk or urgent animals at shelters that may have broken limbs, infections, malnutrition or severe mange that are treatable. Every animal undergoes an initial vet exam, are heartworm tested (dogs) and Felv/FIV/HW tested (cats), receive microchips and age appropriate vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures (if old enough). Treatment for additional medical conditions is required for nearly 60% of our rescued animals, including many urgent or at risk animals . Veterinarian care accounts for 81% of our expenses, so donations have a direct impact for the animals care.
