The animal will be available for adoption at 10am on the available date. First priority goes to the people on the waitlist. PHONE ADOPTIONS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED! Partnered rescues can pull starting at noon on available date, and at any time after the available date.

The Puppy team is begging these days for fosters. Being a foster is as rewarding as volunteering comes. Not only do you get to play with puppies but you get to love them like they’ve never been loved before. Puppies thrive under the care of their fosters. They come so many times mentally and physically broken at the youngest of ages. You as a foster get to show a puppy what a home and a family life is like. That it’s ok to be a puppy they are safe with you! Please, please we ask with as vulnerable as we come chose to volunteer. Give a mama and her puppies or a pregnant mamma or a little puppy a chance for a forever family.

My name is PRECIOUS and I'm an approximately 10 year old female Chihuahua. I am already spayed. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 2/10. I will be available on 2/10. You can visit me at my temporary home at C232. My former family who owned me for more than 5 years had to give me up because they were moving. But they said that I spend most of my time indoors. I seem to be good with small children. I have begun housetraining, but I still need some work. I am good on a leash. I have advanced obedience skills. I seem to get along well with dogs.

He is so scared and not having a good reaction to losing his freedom so they have him in the back of the Shelter with Caution o his kennel. If you tell him to sit he seems to act much calmer.
