As the weather warms up, flea and tick season is officially beginning — and that means it’s time to double-check what you’re using to protect your pets!

We know many pet parents prefer natural or herbal products (and we support you 💚), but it’s very important to read labels carefully.

⚠️ Watch out for garlic in herbal flea/tick products
Garlic is toxic to dogs and can cause serious health issues, even in small amounts over time. While it’s sometimes marketed as a “natural repellent,” it’s not safe for our pups.

🌿🕷️ Tick Season Is Here — Let’s Keep Our Pets and Families Protected! 🐾💚

Warmer weather means more time outside… but it also means ticks are back and ready to hitch a ride. These tiny pests aren’t just annoying—they can carry diseases that affect both pets and people. The good news? A little prevention goes a long way!

🐕 Protect Your Pets
• Stay up to date on vet-recommended tick preventatives (topical, oral, or collars)
• Avoid tall grass, brushy areas, and leaf piles during walks
• Do a full-body tick check after outdoor time—don’t forget ears, under collars, between toes, and under the tail!

👨‍👩‍👧 Protect Your Family
• Wear light-colored clothing so ticks are easier to spot
• Use tick repellent when hiking or spending time in wooded areas
• Shower and check your skin (and your kids!) after being outdoors

🏡 Protect Your Yard
• Keep grass trimmed short and remove leaf litter
• Create a barrier (like wood chips or gravel) between lawn and wooded areas
• Discourage wildlife like deer that carry ticks

🔍 Found a Tick? Act Fast!
