I'm sad to inform you that the Freeport location of Bobbi and the Strays will be closing. I will be turning it over to Pets 4 Luv. The official date is unknown at this time but is expected to be soon.

The cats will become part of Pets 4 Luv while the current dogs will remain as Bobbi and the Strays dogs but their day to day care will be handled by the new rescue. My Atlas location in Glendale will continue to operate as it always has and everyone is welcome to volunteer there.

Over the past 15 years in Freeport, I have seen selfless dedication by staff, volunteers and all of my other supporters. I will still be holding fundraisers and adoption events, both on Long Island and in Queens, and would be most grateful for your continued support.

Bobbi and the Strays Freeport location has rescued and adopted out well over 2000 dogs and cats. None of that would have been possible without all of you. If you have any questions, as always, please feel free to call me at 917-213-9840.

Our incredibly handsome tabby, Thurman, has finally found his forever home!

From the first day he arrived, we knew he was something special, with his striking stripes and that knowing gaze. He’s been a friendly face and one of our much loved boys, but nothing compares to seeing him with his new mom.

Pretty Piper has officially found her perfect match—and we couldn’t be happier for her!

This sweet 3½-year-old Shih Tzu mix is home today with a wonderful family who opened their hearts and their home to her. From the smiles in this photo, it’s clear that Piper is exactly where she belongs.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Billie Bob and Cyrus have officially been adopted!

Sweet Billie Bob was the very last kitten from our beloved rescue mama, Billie’s litter of six to find his home. We knew he needed the perfect dynamic companion, and that’s when he met the incredibly charismatic and energetic Cyrus.

From the moment they were introduced, it was clear this was a match made in heaven. Cyrus has the kind of playful energy that Billie Bob absolutely thrives on so the two can keep each other entertained and comforted. Seeing these two boys finally safe, loved, and together in their forever home fills our hearts. Just look at those happy faces!

Happy Tails, Sean!

If you've been following Sean's story, you know this little Cocker Spaniel mix has had a tough start to life.

The good news? Sean has found his forever home! As you can see, he's in loving hands now, where he'll get all the care, comfort, and cuddles every puppy deserves.

We couldn't be happier for this sweet little guy and his adopter. Thank you to everyone who followed his journey, cheered him on, helped him along, and shared his story.
