Every week, we face heartbreaking cases of abandonment, neglect, and abuse. But some stories, like Rudy’s, shatter our hearts into pieces.
On September 9th, we found an abandoned cat carrier in front of our door. Inside was Rudy — scared, sick, and severely injured. Our staff acted swiftly, rushing him to the vet for urgent care. What we saw was gut-wrenching. Viewer discretion is advised for the images we’ve shared — a harsh reminder of the animal cruelty pandemic that plagues our world.
Whether Rudy’s injuries were caused by another animal or inflicted by a person, his abandonment is a tragedy. Today, Rudy is still recovering under the loving care of one of our staff members. Thanks to the compassion and dedication of our team, this once-scared cat is learning to trust and love again. 💕

💔 URGENT HOSPICE FOSTER NEEDED 💔
Roxy’s journey has been one of resilience and love, but now she needs us more than ever. This gentle senior dog came into our care in November 2017, surrendered by her owner who was losing her home and could no longer care for her.
She was adopted just weeks later, but in September 2020, her life was uprooted again when her adopter moved to senior living and had to return her.
Roxy has known kindness throughout her life—never neglect or abuse—and since January 2022, she has been cared for by her devoted foster dad, Hugo, and his loving family. They adore Roxy deeply, but they are moving and sadly can no longer foster her.
Adding to the heartbreak, Roxy was recently diagnosed with lymphoma (11/2/24), an aggressive cancer. Because of her condition and age, we will not pursue treatment, but we are determined to give her the most love-filled and comfortable final days possible.
Now, Roxy urgently needs a compassionate end-of-life foster home. This big, sweet girl is looking for someone who can give her warmth, care, and affection as she writes the last chapter of her story. All we ask is for someone to open their heart and home to this special girl.
* Please note- Roxy needs to be the only pet in the household. She is incredible with adults and children.

He is affectionate with people when he knows he can trust them. He really likes other dogs 🐕 and can be a bit selective when it comes to cats! 🐈
He will flourish in a home where neighbors will be understanding when he barks, he is a talker! 🗣️ We believe that apartment living will not be ideal for this young pup. 🏠
Pluto a 1 year old Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier mix, will be microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and neutered upon adoption. ✅
