We are saddened and outraged to know that families are leaving their pets behind. Some even tied up without a chance to escape or survive. This however, had a happy ending.

A family's dog survived the devastating Texas floods against all odds by climbing inside a washing machine. Hunt resident Cody Vlasek said his family's home was flooded with waist-high water in a matter of just 20 minutes.

I am forever grateful to Chelsea for her unwavering support during my time in California from 2015 to 2017. Her generosity allowed me to reside with her until I found my own place, and her hospitality continued as she welcomed me into her home whenever I needed. Chelsea's selflessness and dependability were a constant source of comfort. During this period, Chelsea adopted Dumpling, a dog whose name perfectly captured her endearing spirit. The joy I experienced caring for Dumpling whenever Chelsea was away was unparalleled. As someone who deeply loves animals, I cherished every moment spent with Dumpling, especially given my separation from my own beloved pets. The news of Dumpling's passing at the young age of 10 has left me devastated. The anguish of losing a cherished pet is impossible to put into words, yet it is a pain that is deeply understood. I offer my heartfelt condolences to Chelsea and all those who were fortunate enough to have known Dumpling. May her memory be a blessing. ❤️ Chelsea Blechman

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce that after 13 incredible years, we will be closing our doors forever on June 28, 2025.

When we started this journey and our business in 2012, we had no idea if we would be successful. We just had one dream: to help our community and rescue as many animals as we possibly could. Thanks to your unwavering support, we've been incredibly fortunate. We've rescued thousands of animals, facilitated hundreds of adoptions, and even had the joy of bringing a few into the world.

Unfortunately, as time goes by, we all learn to listen to our bodies and recognize when it's time to slow down. Throughout these years, we've also faced numerous medical emergencies with our beloved mother and grandmother. She is now 88 years old and requires 24/7 care. Our main priority must now be to spend as much time with her as possible, cherishing whatever time she has left. This difficult decision comes from a place of love and a need to be there for our family.

We are immensely grateful for the trust and support you, our cherished customers, have shown us throughout these years. It has been an honor to serve you and the animals we all care so deeply about.

Our goal is to provide affordable care, much lower than standard animal hospital fees, as a service to our community, not as a primary source of income.

To ensure we can provide the best possible care for your animals, we operate by appointment only, on Saturdays. We kindly ask that you do not come to our home without a scheduled appointment.

We would like to kindly remind you, again. That our apartment is a residency. We do work out of it on certain days and you MUST have an appointment in order to be seen. Please do not show up, knocking on our door, ringing our bell disturbing our dogs and neighbor and more importantly the people that live here. Even if you say it's just a question you need to ask. You must text 347-772-0183 and the veterinarian will get back to you when she can. If you claim to have an emergency with your pet. Please have the common sense and decency to take your pet to the 24 hour animal hospital at 510 E. 62nd street in Manhattan. Do not wait until your pet worsens to get the help needed.
