Looking Toward the Sky
As the first rays of dawn slipped through the towering trees, a quiet swamp slowly awakened. A moss-covered log rested peacefully above the still, dark water, where gentle ripples reflected the golden morning light.
At the center of the log stood a large adult pond turtle. With its long neck stretched high toward the sky, it seemed to greet the rising sun with silent gratitude.
Beside the adult were three tiny hatchlings, carefully lined up in a row. They copied every movement of their parent, stretching their little necks upward, gazing at the endless blue above.
One curious hatchling finally asked, "Why do we always look toward the sky?"
The old turtle smiled gently.
"Because the sky reminds us that the world is far bigger than the water beneath our feet. Life will bring storms, deep currents, and long journeys. But if you keep your head held high and your heart filled with hope, you'll always find the strength to move forward."
The three little turtles looked upward once more. This time, they weren't simply copying their parent—they were beginning to understand.
As warm sunlight poured through the forest canopy, it illuminated the intricate patterns on their shells, making them glow like tiny works of art. The swamp remained peaceful, as if nature itself had paused to witness a lesson that would stay with them forever.
From that morning on, the hatchlings carried more than just their shells—they carried courage, hope, and the wisdom to face every journey with their heads held high.
Moral: The greatest lessons are not taught through words alone, but through the quiet example of those who walk before us.
