We recently celebrated our 4️⃣ year anniversary in NYC! 🎂

In that time we have treated over 12,000 pets, including cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, birds, and reptiles. We love being a part of the NYC veterinary community, especially when partnering with our referral vets.

This past year, we launched in Newton, MA, with plans this upcoming year to open VEC CT in Greenwich, CT, and an additional NYC location in Park Slope, Brooklyn!

From NYC to New England, we are committed to providing the best pet eye care. Here’s to another great year ahead! 🎉

This week, we are honoring and celebrating our amazing client service representatives for Veterinary Receptionist Week 🥳

At VEC, we have a dedicated team of client service professionals who help to provide an excellent experience for our clients and patients. As the first person you speak to on the phone, to the last person you see as you leave (and so much in between), they play a crucial role in our daily operations.

Thank you to all of the incredible client service representatives everywhere, you are very much appreciated!

The Veterinary Eye Center of NYC is proud to be participating in the ACVO Service Animal Eye Screening event, sponsored by Epicur Pharma.

During this event, we will be providing free screening eye exams to qualified Service, Working, and Therapy Animals. The exams will take place this May at all locations, and registration is now open!

Please note, all animals must be formally trained Service, Working, or Therapy animals with written proof of training. The exams are of a screening nature and are not appropriate for animals with known eye issues.

For more information, and to register, please visit acvoeyeexam.org. We look forward to meeting these incredibly trained and hard working animals! 🤩

🔹NYC Location Update🔹

We are excited to share that we will be opening a new clinic in Park Slope, Brooklyn! This new location will allow us to better serve our community, and provide pets throughout Brooklyn and beyond more direct access to specialized ophthalmology care.

As we prepare for this exciting launch, we will be saying goodbye to our Chelsea satellite location on Thursday, February 27th. This transition will allow us to dedicate our resources to creating a premier ophthalmology center in Brooklyn while continuing to provide care at our Hell’s Kitchen and Long Island City locations.

During this time, our Hell’s Kitchen and Long Island City teams remain available to meet our patients’ needs, ensuring continuity of care and support. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact us.

Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. We cannot wait to welcome you to our new Brooklyn location later this year. Stay tuned for more details!

We recently examined and performed surgery on a serval from the Staten Island Zoo!

Servals are wild cats native to southern Africa. This older cat had a mass growing around his eye and within the third eyelid. We removed the mass and he recovered from the procedure well. Check out the 4th and 5th picture for how he looked before and after surgery.

We are grateful to be able to partner with the zoo team on a special case like this! 🐆
