Of course the poodle is high in that list!!

Researchers estimate that dogs are as bright as a 2-year-old human. However, some breeds stand out amongst the pack.

Stanley Coren, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, a renowned dog researcher, and the author of “The Intelligence of Dogs: Canine Consciousness and Capabilities,” defines three ways to measure dog intelligence: Instinct, adaptive problem-solving, and school learning.

It’s always bittersweet when puppies start to go to their new families… It’s a LOT of work raising a litter of puppies, and it’s tiring, which is the sweet part about leaving! The bitter part is saying goodbye to these beautiful babies that I helped deliver, clean, teach, feed and love! It’s worth the bitter though, knowing they have fantastic families to be part of, who will love them every bit as much as I do!

After 2 days of trying to get them out of our lanai, I was finally able to! Girlie flew off right away, but the guy lingered on my hand, and I was able to FaceTime my grandbabies so they could see him! I actually had to make him fly off! What a beautiful gift!

Check out my new friends!! When I got these milkweed plants, the caterpillars were about a quarter of an inch long, and now look at them!!! I can’t wait to see them become beautiful monarch butterflies! 🐛🐛

Day 1 of puppy mush!! I love this day. It’s full of messy puppy snuggles, sloppy mush kisses, lots of clean up, baths and deep, contented sleep for the babies!
