We are Dolma Dog Rescue house. Animal rescue center based in Bylakuppe, India.
I am writing to ask for help to acquire a rescue van for our dog shelter. We have been trying to save and work towards buying a used van to transport injured dogs from the streets for treatments and it’s been extremely difficult for us as the number of dogs have been increasing.

We rescue most of our dogs on personal scooter and sometimes on rented cars/vans. We urgently need a vehicle to not only rescue dogs, but to also transport them to the city if any of our dogs need any surgeries or urgent treatment

With the monsoon seasons now getting worse every year, we are left with limited choices and now need to ask for help directly from people.

Due to the tragic earthquake in Tibet and the passing of His Holiness’s brother, we have decided to reschedule the Dolma Dog Rescue march 8th fundraiser musical event to sometime in July.

We had a surprise visit from a kind man from Australia.

He is originally from Kashmir and lives in Australia. He had come to Sera monastery for a meditation class. During his mediation session he occasionally heard pitiful cries of puppies. The cry of the puppies filled him with sympathy and concern and soon after his mediation session he asked a Kusho la/ monk about hese puppies and showed much concern. So he was referred to the Dolma Dog Rescue house, Bylakuppe.
He visited our Dog Rescue house on January, 3rd. When he saw our dogs he was much moved and kindly donated Rs. 25,000 and even promised to bear the expenses in neutering the dogs.
We greatly appreciate his kindness. He is a God sent to us during the time of need.
