We’ve had lots of questions about the EHV/EHM outbreaks out west. At this time, all the information we have is that positive cases were associated with horse shows in Texas and Oklahoma. Any horses who attended those shows have already been instructed to quarantine and work with their local veterinarian. There is currently no evidence it will spread to Indiana unless your horses attended or have been exposed to those who attended the WPRA Finals in Waco, TX or Barrel Futurities of America in Guthrie, OK. This is a great time to make sure your horses are up to date on vaccinations and brush up on general biosecurity practices. The most up to date reports can be followed on the EDCC web or pages. Travel or event restriction mandates will be issued by each individual state veterinarian office/board of animal health as things develop.

We took Max, Windsor, Captain and Monty over to the 4-H grounds tonight. Captain, Windsor and Max saw the grounds for the first time and had a great first practice to prepare for fair!

Very proud of all the members for being good to their horses and sharing time with me to teach them something new.

When you're such a horse nerd you can rattle on for ages about all the different types of teeth in a horse's mouth, and what that tells you about their age and lifestyle!

The week before our first show of the season. We practiced with every horse in the new to us horse trailer. Our training client, Monty, had several practices to ensure he would feel better in his own similar trailer moving forward. On show weekend they were all perfect! 💜🐴
