Pictured is the locally famous chicken limo proudly leading a parade sometime around 1980. Indianapolis used car salesman Orval "Ducky" Love ran "Loves Auto Sales and Rental" that was once located on East Washington Street.

Love was a pioneer of driving around in festive vehicles. Today's pedal machines and "party buses" like the Hippopartybus are the legacy of Ducky Love, for it was Love who first purchased and rented out "chicken limos," stretched cars and converted hearses with giant fiberglass chickens mounted on the roof.

He bought the vehicles off a fast-food chain called Chicken Unlimited when it went out of business. He later added a "pig limo," a "duck limo" and a limo with a giant fiberglass birthday cake on top.
