Down Home Barkery Down Home Barkery is a hand-made, gourmet pet treat bakery. Our chef is always on the lookout for new types and flavors of treats for your pets to try.

Here at the Down home Barkery we make and sell hand-crafted, pet-approved, flavorful pet treats for your special pet(s). Each individual treat is mixed, rolled, scooped, cut, and packaged at the hands of our owner, Liz Martin. Our chef, a certified pastry chef, believes that every pet should get a tasty treat every now and then, so why not make it a yummy, preservative free treat that will have yo

ur pets wanting more. Currently we only have a small selection for BOTH cats and dogs, but bird, horse, bunny, and turtle treats will be in the near future. She is hoping to have a few bird treats in full production by summer 2013, so keep an eye out and check back often for updates.

We will be out at the Mandeville Trail Head Market tomorrow with our newest team members my husband, Walter, and our cute Siberian Husky/Australian Shepard mix, Heidi. We will have frozen dog treats available for sale to those who want to cool their pups off.

We will be quite busy this weekend even tough we will not be at the Mandeville Trail Head Market. Saturday from 6-9 PM we will be at the "Viva Paws Vegas" at the St. Francis Animal Sanctuary thrift store in Mandeville (next to Triple Nickle Grill) If you would like to come get a sample and some information about us. The newest member of the Down Home Barkery team, our chef's new dog Heidi, will be there as well. Also The Barkery staff will be bringing Heidi out to "Bark in the Park" at Zephyrs stadium on Airline in Metairie on Sunday at 2 PM.
