Young female kitten who was found on Expressway is looking for a new home.
She had her first vaccine and dewormer yesterday and is being cared for by our clients who had quite the adventure rescuing her from the dangerous situation she had found herself in. She’s a skinny little thing and certainly still needs some nuturing.

5/7/25 11am- We still have no electricity, but the street flooding on Carol Sue has gone down. Clinic phones aren’t working but you can try to call (504) 810-9139. Calls have been hit and miss on that number as well!

One of our clients has gone into a nursing home and can no longer afford this little gal’s care or expenses. Maggie is currently with a foster family and we are trying to help raise $500 to assist them with unexpected expenses.

Good morning! We will open today as soon as we can get there. Dr E needs to able to make it to the Huey P since they have one lane open and CCC is closed indefinitely for now. My gut feeling is that it’ll around 9/10 am, but I’ll update you as soon as one of us safely arrives!!

Update- Dr Dorner is attempting to make it to the clinic for noon. He was turned away at the bridge but is trying his best! If you have an emergency, please call and leave a message or drop us a comment here. He’s not sure how long he can stay (if he can even get there as the bridge opening/closures are changing as we go through the day,) but we are trying to get back into normal business asap. ❄️❄️❄️

Due to weather conditions deteriorating earlier than hoped, Dr Dorner will no longer be able to see patients from 9-noon. He went earlier to take care of our boarders, and we’ll update y’all as soon as conditions allow us to safely travel! Be safe out there, everyone!
